COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - A charity that trains service dogs for disabled veterans has commissioned a statue of the late George H.W. Bush's service dog. It is for the 41st president's library.
America's VetDogs has commissioned sculptor Susan Bahary to create the bronze statue of Sully for placement in the east wing of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. It is at Texas A&M University.
VetDogs President John Miller says the statue will depict Sully sitting with his leash in his mouth, the "retrieve" task VetDogs trains its dogs to perform. It will show Sully wearing his America's VetDogs vest with the Great Seal of the United States on its back.
The yellow Labrador golden retriever assisted the former president for the last six months of his life. The former president Bush died last November at age 94.

CRITICAL THINKING QUESTION
How would you depict a statue of Sully or another service dog?
Write your answers in the comments section below
I would depict a statue of sully or another service dog by how the way the other dog well react to and how are they to this dog how i feel is a good god those things.
They are friendly and they are always helpful and they are a great help when it comes down to people
I think i would just kind of look at it and start making details of how i want to draw it or i would get a chair and sit in front of it and start drawing pus it is easier because its not moving and i can just do it
You would depict a statue of sully or another service dog by getting it trained well to know how to do it what to do and when to do it.
I would depict a statue of Sully or another service dog by drawing a picture of it.
Make things for dogs to walk in and give them homes
Service dog help blind people go around places
This is a very thoughtful idea. I think that Sully would thank you, if he could. Building this statue helps share the idea of VetDogs or Service Dogs (for injured veterans) and thanking them for their service to their owners. Great job!!
I think that they should make statues for all service dogs that have made historic saves of people or places.
