You asked us, "How did King Tut die?"

Short answer? Horribly. Okay, you might want more details than that.

Since his discovery in 1922, there have been numerous theories, some of which have been pretty outlandish.

X-rays conducted in the 1960s revealed a fragment of bone in his brain cavity, possible evidence of murder by bonk on the head.

But closer examination showed that the sliver probably broke off after death.

In 2005, a broken leg and massive chest wounds led to the conclusion that not only had he fallen off a chariot while hunting but he also was run over by one.

DNA tests from 2010 point straight to malaria, which would have made his broken bones even worse.

And in 2013, a doctor examined CT scans and stated that the chest wounds actually came from the bite of, I swear I can't make this up, a hippopotamus.

So here's MY scenario. The unfortunate boy-king gets clocked in the head by a jealous rival while out hunting hippos by chariot.  He tumbles off and is run over.

The hippo charges, and Tut manages to get up and run, but his club foot, broken leg and malaria slow him down. The hippo practically bites him in half and then Tut spontaneously combusts.

Yes, the most recent speculation is that Tut spontaneously caught fire in his coffin.

It took so long to find King Tut because he was buried in a place not known to anyone, so no one would be able to rob his grave. This was an interesting article, and I do feel bad for King Tut.

It took so long to find King Tut because there were lots of theories of how he could have died, but the theory that i believe is that he burned in his coffin. This article was interesting to me because i have always wondered how a king would die, but this wasn't what i had pictured.

It took so long to find king Tut because he fell, got ran over, and got ate. After so long people say he was burnt inside his coffin. No one knows why he was burnt and fell.People might think he fell because he wasn't paying attention to surroundings and got hit by a tree or a plant or something like that. That's what I think to.

It took so long to find him because his body was buried in a location that his people only knew about.

It took a long time to find King Tut because so many things happened to him and they had to find out everything.

I think the authors purpose of this article was to inform and to entertain. The author of this article said that his or her scenario about how King Tut died was that he was hit in the head by his jealous rivals while he was hunting for hippos, and when he go hit in the head he fell off of his chariot it runs over him. I agree with their scenario because, when scientist did x-rays on King Tut's body they found that he had many broken bones, and found that he had been bitten by a hippopotamus. So the scenario that the author came up with does fit with what could have happened to King Tut.

Before this article I didn't even know that people were still unsure about how he had died. I think this article doesn't really provide any solid evidence about how King Tut died; it's just another person's theory.
