COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - A charity that trains service dogs for disabled veterans has commissioned a statue. It is of the late George H.W. Bush's service dog. It is for the 41st president's library.

America's VetDogs has commissioned sculptor Susan Bahary to create the bronze statue of Sully. It is for placement in the east wing of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. It is at Texas A&M University.

John Miller is president of VetDogs. He says the statue will depict Sully sitting with his leash in his mouth. This is the "retrieve" task VetDogs trains its dogs to perform. It will show Sully wearing his America's VetDogs vest. It has the Great Seal of the United States on its back.

The yellow Labrador golden retriever assisted the former president. Sully helped him for the last six months of Bush's life. The former president Bush died last November at age 94.

Yeah because it will make us realize dogs aren't bad and they can't be left on the side of the road. And they make them fight and just dont

I think service dogs are very important and amazing dogs. They can help elders or young people. A statue of these service dogs would be amazing, somewhere everyone could see to recognize the importance of theses animals.

I would put a cool America vest and other cool stuff on it. I would also put some sort of nice statement at the bottom of it. I would also make it really big so that everyone could see it. And make it out of stone. It would be really cool!

I think it's cool that they made a statue for George's dog. I also didn't know that Sully helped George for his last six months. If you think about it it's pretty cool that dogs can help people walk if they're properly trained.

If I was to make a statue of Sully,I would make her look realistic. I would make them look nice so because we know that Sully was a nice dog. I would put the real vest she wore on the statue so it looked really real. I might put Sully next the American flag too.

I would depict a statue of Sully or another service dog by adding details that make Sully important. Like maybe the vest service dogs have to wear because that would show what Sully does.It would also help people identify that it is Sully.I obviously would also try to make it as realistic as possible so then again people would know its sully.I would make the statue maybe the same color as Sully and ad a dog tag with his name.

The article was about how they made a statue of Sully the former president Bush. The statue has Sully with a leash in her mouth, which is the retrieve task Vet dogs train to do. I think this article was really cool about Vet dogs. It's my opinion because dogs can be very useful and very helpful for some people with disabled veterans.
