The fascination with Hank the dog has legs.

The stray pup wandered into the Milwaukee Brewers' baseball spring training facility in Arizona last year. The dog later was adopted by a team executive. Now the fluffy white pooch has become a fan favorite.

A kiosk of Hank-related items has been erected on the field level concourse at Miller Park. That's where the Brewers play their home games. The kiosk features a variety of items for sale. They include Hank t-shirts, plush toys and dog leashes.

A locked display case features an array of expensive collectibles for the most dedicated Hank fans. There is even a Hank-worn All-Star game jersey that was made especially for him. It can be purchased for a whopping $1,200.

The Wisconsin Humane Society receives 20 percent of revenue from the sale of Hank merchandise. To date, more than $200,000 has been raised the team said.

The dog's bowl, with food residue still visible, has a $100 price tag. A bed on which Hank once slept can be had for $250.

Want a framed picture of Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy with the precious pup? It includes swatches of jerseys worn by each. Shell out $175 and take it home.

"This is just a function of the demand for Hank merchandise," Brewers chief operating officer Rick Schlesinger said.

Hank again will be honored with a bobblehead doll. It will be adorned in pink. The doll will be given to fans that attend a Mother's Day game.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Hank is extremely popular," Schlesinger said.

Hank visited the Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix last week. The dog was there to raise awareness for pet adoption programs at the Arizona Humane Society. He will make appearances for charitable causes in the Milwaukee area during the season.

He will return for several visits to Miller Park, too.

Critical thinking challenge: What did Rick Schlesinger mean when he said, "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Hank is extremely popular." What does Hank have to do with rocket science?

A stray pup named Hank was found in the Milwaukee Brewers' training facility and adopted by a team executive. Since then, Hank has become a massive fan favorite and the subject of a variety of merchandise. A kiosk at Miller Park is stocked with Hank-related items including t-shirts, leashes, toys, and more valuable items. These include Hank's old dog bowl, a shirt Hank wore, a bed on which he slept, and a framed picture of him with the team's catcher.
I think it's awesome that people make huge celebrities out of cute animals, but this seems to be a little much. I do like that Hank is being used to raise awareness for pet adoption.

Hank the dog takes the spotlight. Hank walked into the Milwaukee Brewers' baseball practice center last spring, he was adopted by one of the team executive and now he is the face of the team. He was adopted as sort of a mascot by the team and now Hank the dog merchandise can be bought. Shirts with his face, leashes, and plush toys are sold at games, you can even buy collectibles. A dog bowl with food residue can be bought for $100, a dog bed he slept in $250. Many more collectibles can be bought for high prices, jerseys specially designed or the god, pictures and jersey swatches of both together, and even more. These items can be bought at kiosks at Miller Park, this is where the team plays their home games. A bobble head is also being made, it will be pink and will be handed out to the attenders of the Mother's Day game. Twenty percent of the proceeds go to the Wisconsin Humane Society, Hank also makes appearances to create awareness for Wisconsin adoption agencies.

I find it hard to believe that no one has tried to claim the dog, did it not have a home oat all, or did the owners try to get Hank back and were unsuccessful? I also think it is funny that a baseball team uses this tiny dog as their mascot. It is not very intimidating but more caring and compassionate. I think it is nice that the dog has a home and that adoption agencies and the Humane Society are receiving part of the proceeds.

Hank, a stray dog that wandered into the Milwaukee Brewers' baseball spring training facility, was adopted by a team executive. He is now a fan favorite. A kiosk is set up with anything from Hank t-shirts to dog leashes. A Hank collectibles display case was set up to sell hardcore merchandise. A dog jerseys was sold for $1,200. A bobble head Hank is also being made in pink for fans that go to the games on Mother's Day. Hank is taken to many places to raise awareness for things such as pet adoption programs.

This is a really good idea. Rather than having a human in a costume mascot, the Milwaukee Brewers' have a live pet. This dog can raise funds, awareness, and likability of pets everywhere.

Hank has nothing to do with rocket science. Rick was using a saying that means its obvious Hank is popular. I don't think I would ever buy a jersey that a popular dog used. Especially if it costs $1,200, thats highway robbery. I do think the dog is cute though, no wonder people love him!

I think that it is cool for a bichon frise named Hank still popular in the Milwaukee Brewer baseball team but I can't believe that one of the Milwaukee Brewer team that is taking care of Hank the Dog when Hank was found on the baseball field which Hank had lost his owner. Well if Hank the Dog is still popular in the Milwaukee Brewer league, I think that he is popular because he was was lost but was found by a player.

      REBUTTAL:

I don't think that it is too interesting that a dog was found by a player. It doesn't matter. It would just be another story where a stray dog walks by and gets picked up by a person walking down the same road or path as it.

There is a dog that wandered onto a Milwaukee Brewers game one day. The team adopted him and made him an icon. The are selling tshirts and giving part of the profits to the humane society. Stuff that he used is ver pricy. A bed that he slept on is going for $250. There is also an over $1000 shirt that he wore at an all star game. I think the charity part of this is really good. This is a good deed for a baseball team

I love dogs. I have a dog named Ranger. I want to volunteer at the shelter over spring so I can help find other dogs homes along with cats and other animals

I think this is super cool! especially considering im a Milwaukee fan from up north. I knew about hank for a long time but never knew about the crazy prices for his merchandise! however I think it was really cool of the Brewers to do that.
