A Toronto man who made headlines last month by offering a free round-the-world air ticket to a woman with the same name as his ex-girlfriend has found Ms. Right.

Jordan Axani, 28, and his then girlfriend, named Elizabeth Gallagher, booked heavily discounted round-the-world air tickets in May, but their relationship ended and he didn't want her ticket to go to waste. The ticket had a strict no-transfer policy, but since passport information was not required when booking, it can be used by any Canadian named Elizabeth Gallagher.

Axani posted his offer last month on the Reddit social media website, and received thousands of emails, including 18 from actual Elizabeth Gallaghers with Canadian passports.

He's chosen his travel mate, Elizabeth Quinn Gallagher, a 23-year-old student and part-time office administrator from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

"It's strictly a platonic trip. It's going to be great," Axani said.

At first the new Elizabeth Gallagher thought a trip with a stranger whose ex-girlfriend's name is the same as hers was "crazy" but she hit it off with Axani after talking on the phone with him for hours.

"It definitely did seem a little bit creepy at the beginning but now that I talked to him it's less creepy and more awesome," she said.

She already has a boyfriend.

"This is totally sort of like as friends," she said. "I have a pretty serious boyfriend. We've been together for a while. We're planning on buying a house and we have a puppy, so yeah, I'm not really looking for anything at all."

She acknowledged her boyfriend isn't thrilled.

"He understands that I've always wanted to travel so while he's not happy I'm taking off for nearly a month at Christmas with a random guy he's smiling through it," she said.

Axani, who works for an international real estate development and advisory firm, said the tickets were purchased for a couple of thousand dollars, but their cash value today is around Canadian $5,000-$7,000 (US $4,400-$6,200).

The trip is scheduled to start in New York City and continue on to Milan, Prague, Paris, Bangkok and New Delhi before ending in Toronto on Jan. 12. Axani said that after the breakup, he deferred all other planning for the trip, such as making hotel reservations.

But since the story became public, Marriott International offered to put him and the new Elizabeth Gallagher up, in separate rooms, during their trip.

Axani said the trip will be documented and shared online. He said that he was so moved by some of the emails including one from an 8-year-old boy who said he was going blind and wanted to see the world before that happens that he and his brother created an organization called A Ticket Forward to help people who desire to see the world but lack the finances to do so.

Critical thinking challenge: Jordan had a problem. Other people helped him solve his problem. Now Jordan is helping others. Explain the connection.

I think that it was wrong for Elizabeth Gallagher to leave him, but it's really good that he found a girl with the same name so that he could still go.

A man who just broke up with his girlfriend that he was planning on going on a world round trip, with has recently put that ticket up for grabs. Not wanting to loose the money on his expensive ticket, he put up posts offering any Canadian lady a free world round ticket. This lucky girl, Elizabeth Gallagher, has the same name as his ex- girlfriend but is happy and super excited to be able to has this remarkable oppourtunity. I think that I would have been super excited if I was able to travel around the world for free.

Jordan had a problem since he had already bought the ticket for his girlfriend and then they later broke up but since the tickets were nonreturnable he found a girl with the same name as his ex. Some people might say 'Why didn't he bring a family member or friend?" this is because the ticket he bought was for Elizabeth Gallagher and nobody else. It's also very sweet how he started the Ticket Forward foundation because there are many people in the world who cant afford to go somewhere they really desire to go,

This seems like a pretty good idea and at least Jordan didn't waste his money. I would love to receive a free trip around the world just because I have the same name as someone else.

A Canadian man who recently broke up with his girlfriend offered anyone with the name of his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Gallagher, a chance to go on a trip around the world. Thousands of people contacted him and 18 of them were actual Canadians named Elizabeth Gallagher. He then chose a 23 year old recent collage graduate to join him. She at first though the idea of traveling the world with a stranger was crazy but then she warmed up to it. although It may sound romantic, the woman already has a serious boyfriend who isn't to thrilled about the arrangement but is happy for her. I would never travel the world with a stranger. Hasn't any of these thousands of people ever heard of stranger danger?

I think that taking a ticket for an around the world trip from a stranger would be a little creepy. But it seemed like the new Elizabeth Gallagher was really excited. It was too bad that he couldn't give the ticket to a family member or a close friend. I think it's dumb that the next ticket owner had to be a Canadian named Elizabeth Gallagher and not just any person. It's really cool that the t got to go to Milan, Paris, Bangkok and other places all over the world. But I don't know when the trip is supposed to start. At the bottom where it told us about the little boy who made a foundation for people who want to travel but can't afford it, I thought it was a really smart and nice idea. I wish that kid could get the ticket, but I bet Elizabeth will have fun too.

If some random dude offered a trip around the world,I would totally except the offer. I mean, even if he was a stranger, I would eventually get to know him.

Traveling the world has always been a dream of mine, but I never could have imagined anything like this happening just because of two girls having the same name. That is definitely a one-in-a-million lifetime experience that Jordan and Elizabeth will never forget. My favorite part about this article is where it notes that Jordan and his brother have started an organization to help people who lack finances but are interested in traveling the world.

Reading the article i was confused to what the critical question was asking. I knew his problem was to find someone with the same name and once he found a Canadian with the same name as his ex girlfriend he hit it off with another Elizabeth but just as friends. Which solved his problem.

Traveling the world has always been one of my dreams, and it's amazing that someone got to travel the world just by having the same name as this guys ex-girlfriend. It's kind of strange that he was willing to take a complete stranger on a trip around the world, but I guess that's better than letting the tickets go to waste. In the process he might have even helped this girl fulfill one of her dreams.
