A Pennsylvania teenager's family says he accidentally ran all 26.2 miles of the Philadelphia Marathon because he missed a turn on his half-marathon course.

WPVI-TV reports Evan Megoulas runs on his high school's cross country team in Palmyra, 80 miles west of Philadelphia, and he set out to run the 13.1-mile half-marathon. His family was waiting for him at the finish line but became concerned when he didn't show up.

They say they gave police a photo of Evan, and officers tracked him down in the Manayunk section of the city, where he told them he felt good despite missing his turn and wanted to keep running.

Evan's brother says after he completed the marathon, in a time of 5:23:11, officers wanted a picture with him.

I have asthma so i do not think i could of did what they did.i think that a wrong turn can make them run twice as far because if you make a wrong turn u might turn and get lost and may have to find way back and go in circles.

They could think they are going the right way and they are ahead. They would proceed the wrong because they think it's the right way. Metaphorically, if someone does something like an assignment or job incorrectly, they could accidentally end up doing more work then they need to. It is important to pay attention to where you are going.

A wrong turn could make people run twice as far if they mess up. In life if you mess up it could make you have to do twice as more. T

A wrong turn can lead a person to run twice as far because if they take the wrong turn they may run into a longer path which causes them run different ways looking for the finish line.

According to the article "Teen Takes Wrong Turn, Accidently runs 26.2 miles" there are a couple of reasons taking a wrong turn can make you run twice as far. One reason is that some times there are two rout's and if you take the wrong one you could run way more than you should have. The second reason is if you make a wrong turn and go off the course and you wouldn't know how to get back. My conclusion is if you make a wrong turn why wouldn't you go back?
