Animal control officer ready for toy tiger teasing

An animal control worker in Michigan was convinced he was looking at a young tiger lying in a driveway, so he approached with care, grabbed a pole and a shield and called police.

Turns out, it was a stuffed animal.

The Grand Rapids Press reports that Kent County Animal Control received a call about a tiger in the driveway of a vacant Grand Rapids home.

Supervisor Joe Dainelis responded to the call, and when he spotted the animal, he grabbed his safety gear.

Neighbors also thought the life-sized, furry toy was real, but when Dainelis' co-worker, Rachel Jensen, approached from another direction, she realized there was nothing ferocious about the toy feline.

Dainelis says he expects to be teased for a few days.

Critical thinking challenge: What indicates that Joe Dainelis wasn't crazy to think the toy tiger was real?

A local animal control worker in Michigan was worried for the city by finding a tiger in a driveway. After he called the police he found out that the tiger was stuffed. He was surprised at what he found though and it could have caused chaos.

What proves that Joe Dainelis wasn't crazy was the size of it as it did look like a tiger and it was big enough to be one so... yeah

Who, Supervisor Joe Dainelis of animal control responded to the call. When, around June 4 2015. Where, this happened in Michigan. What, the stuffed tiger looked real and they were convinced about it. Why, because the tiger was realistic looking and was the size of a tiger cub. They found out it was just a stuffed animal when co-worker Rachel Jensen approached it from another side.

How could someone think that that stuffed animal was a real tiger? It dose not look anything like a real one. Besides, What is animal control going to do if they really do come up against a real tiger.

Not only Joe thought that the tiger was real so did many others including the police. Also the tiger toy was life sized so to anyone at a certain distance would think it was a real tiger.

The thing that indicates that Joe Dainelis wasn't crazy to think that the toy tiger was real was the fact that the qualities on the tiger looked liked it could be a real tiger and to get the children interested in playing with toy tigers and having fun.

This is so funny this guy thought he saw a real tiger. It is a stuffed tiger but from afar it looks so real. I probably would have thought the tiger was real at first. This was an awesome prank

That's too funny, I thought it would be kind of obvious that it was stuffed. This is because you wouldn't see it move a muscle at all. Plus if you look at the mouth in the picture they supplied for you, it has no opening. Looks might be deceiving, but when dealing with a large feline you need to take your time.

That stuffed tiger was really detailed, and I'll bet my sister would love to have it. If I were there I would probably think it was real too, if you squint your eyes and look at the picture, it kind of looks like it is a real tiger. They hadn't realized it was a toy until someone approached it from the other direction, and told everyone else that it was a toy.
