Six abandoned kittens named after the kids in "The Brady Bunch" TV series are getting a nurturing boost. It has come from an unlikely source. A male cat. He has a slight neurological disorder.

The 3-week-old kittens are named Jan, Marcia, Cindy, Greg, Peter and Bobb. They have been adopted by Henry. He is an 8-month-old male cat. He lives in the southeast Alaska community of Ketchikan.

"We have Henry playing Alice. It was the perfect match," said Heather Muench. She was comparing the cat's role to that of the lovable live-in housekeeper on the old TV series.

Muench is a volunteer with the Ketchikan Humane Society. She is caring for the kittens at home. Someone had put them into a cardboard box and left them on a road on Prince of Wales Island.

Children walking home from school heard the kittens crying. A humane society volunteer living on the island had the kittens flown to Ketchikan.

Muench is providing round-the-clock care. She does it both at her home and at her day job. She works at the Island-to-Island Veterinary Clinic. It is in Ketchikan.

At home, she's getting lots of help from Henry. She and her husband adopted him from the all-volunteer Ketchikan Humane Society. Henry's disorder affects his coordination. It causes him to walk unevenly and prevents him from jumping.

What he lacks in motor skills is more than compensated by his demeanor.

"He is very, very sweet and gentle. And he has taken a shine to these kittens," Muench said.

Henry spends hours licking the kittens clean. He has become very attached.

Muench takes the kittens to work with her to continue their care during the work day. Taking them away raised Henry's angst.

"I couldn't get them out of the crate fast enough to satisfy him. He was very, very happy to have them back," she said of her return home from work.

The kittens face an uncertain future. That's because they're too young to be vaccinated. But Muench said Henry's care could be a difference-maker.

"It's kind of unusual for a male cat to take on the role of mother. But he's doing a fabulous job. And he's probably increasing their chances of survival," she said.

Critical thinking challenge: Why were six kittens named after the kids in "The Brady Bunch" instead of some other show?

The text tells the story of six kittens were adopted and looked after by a cat named Henry, who has mobility problems, has trouble walking and jumping.

This was not a challenge to care for six kittens, he spends the day cleaning them and caressing them.

In my opinion this is wonderful, because it is very difficult for a male cat care for cats who are not their offspring, this is common among females and it makes me happy to know that life expectancy increases Henry.
The kittens were put on name of the children of the TV series because the woman who cares and cares for Henry who compares the life of kittens with the children's series "The Brady Bunch"

This article is about a cat with a neurological disorder that affects his coordination, his name is Henry , but his life change when his owners adopted six abandoned kittens, since then he started to be like a mother for this kittens, he really loves them , and thanks this, he have a possibility of live more time. His owners are very happy with this, and very impress, because is very weird that this animals can adopt the role of mother.

In my opinion this is very curious , but also beautiful, cats are not my favorite animals, but this is touching, I hope this cat can live a long time.

That's a really sweet story to tell. I think that the cats have those names because that show have six characters, three boys and three girls, and in this case, the cats are playing them. The male cat, named Henry, is portraying the mom role, like in many human stories happen. When the dad is alone with the kids, when there is no mother.

The story is about six kittens 3 weeks old, who were adopted by a male cat 8 months that has a slight neurological disorder.
Heather Muench cares of them day and night, she is volunteer with the Ketchikan Humane Society, then she has to take the kittens to work for don't neglect them. Kittens' names are Jan, Marcia, Cindy, Greg, Peter and Bobb, named after the television series The Brady Brunch, have been adopted by Henry, a male cat, that cleans the kittens, he is like a mother for them, is very sweet with them, but lacks in motor skills, but cares for kittens has returned his life, it is very attached to the kittens, and Henry is probably increasing his chances of survival.

Why were six kittens named after the kids in "The Brady Bunch" instead of some other show? Because they are very similar stories, she lives with her husband and Henry (her cat) and then came the kittens are coincidentally 3 males and 3 females, as in the TV series (that was 3 boys and 3 girls), Henry would be Alice, the maid of the TV series because he takes care of them.

My opinion: I think it's a very nice story, because I had not heard a male cat fulfill the role of mother, also that people who adopted these kittens and Henry, are very generous for do it, nobody does it, another person would not have worried about them. The cat despite its problems still caring for them, this makes the story even more beautiful.
