Zoo draws crowds with zebra-colored donkeys
In the Middle East, Gaza City zookeepers have found a creative way of drawing crowds to their dilapidated zoo — by painting their donkeys. The Marah Land Zoo's only two zebras died of hunger earlier this year when they were neglected during the Israel-Hamas war. The popular animals were too expensive to replace, so the keepers decided to design a pair of donkeys with black and white patterns instead.
Ahmad Barghouti says a professional painter used French-manufactured hair coloring to make the donkeys look like zebras.
Hasan Yaseen said Thursday since his three children have never seen a real zebra, they enjoy the Gaza version. Aside from the two 'zebras,' the zoo also flaunts an aging tigress, two monkeys, and a selection of birds, rabbits and cats.

Tell those zoo peeps to stop painting other animals a different kind or similar animals it will most likely color the animal that color permanently.
Cool!!!!!! it is fun to have a zebra colored donkey and it being in the zoo. it is cool to let people see it in the zoo. And try to full the people it is a zebra.

That is just so weird. I have never seen a donkey that has strips colord as a zebra. I wonder if the donkeys dad was a zebra??????

That’s not cool, why go and see an animal that you can go to a farm and see. It realy sounds like their having a hard time with getting visitors ,but still why would they paint the donkey’s.

This is really funny and creative. I wonder how they got the donkeys to cooporate with them paintinng the donkeys like zebras. I can't believe just a little paint fooled a whole bunch of people.
Creative to paint two donkeys like zebras. When I first saw the picture I thought it was a zebra my-self.
It is shocking to see how people can solve their problems with some paint and two donkeys! Many people would believe that. Then you do it to other animals to that could be a problem because you don't know how they could react to the paint. The donkeys could die from that paint for all they know. Then think about other animals near the zebras they could also be affected by the smell.
that is okay. why wold you paint a donkey??? Even if it gets you more people to come to your zoo you should not do that.
