Wetting a line in the summertime is hard to beat, as these two local youngsters can attest. Will Harding of Corner caught this 7.75-pound bass on a private pond a few weeks ago. Harding used a Pearl Fluke lure. Drayton Nygren, who turned 10 on June 9, won a $50 bet with his grandmother Zada by catching a two-pound largemouth bass from a pier at Logan Martin Lake. The bass was caught on a red bug finesse worm.

What the... what is up with all the big bass. What was the bait and brand pole I need a bass that size! Was the bass a good eater cause it looks like it eaten enough!
I think this is great that the kids caught this bass. I wonder if they ate it for dinner? Probably. I went fishing once and I got the catch of the day! It was a 2 or 3 pound catfish. The only thing I've ever caught is catfish, because we go to this pond right beside our neighborhood. My sister, Samantha caught the second biggest it was 1 to 2 pounds heavy and it was pregnant! you could see how because it's belly was a little fat! So it had just started to get pregnant. We didn't eat any of the catfish though. Because they were very small and we didn't have a bucket to put them in. but it was pretty fun though, because, well, I love the feeling when you reel it in! you're like Ur! Ugh! and you twist and pull and and tussle the handle and finally you get your catch! All in all this was a pretty good story!
Wow that's that is awesome I have been to Alabama and iv never caught a fish that big that young person is blessed to catch something that big
I like going fishing but the biggest bass I've ever caught was 5.5 pound-er. I hope that i would get a fish that big. He is very lucky and maybe next time he would get a bigger one
wow i mean i use to fish but i still do but i cant seem to catch any thing at all because i not that realy good like that but it is fun and i catch fish only at certain places.
Good lord that's a big bass! I wish i could catch one that big all i catch are lil baby bass's. Hopefully this summer i will have my chance.
That fish is pretty big. My brother and I love to go fishing. I hope that he kept that fish, I bet that it took a while to reel in.
That sounds a lot like my dad and I. We like to have family competition with each other. But with that boy being ten years old winning 50 dollars. That is neat.
That's pretty neat that he caught that in a private pond. I wonder if there are any bigger ones in there. I've never been fishing before so I don't think that would be fun, but i don't care if it is.
That is very cool. My dad loves going to fishing. I've remembered that my sister captured a sting ray, and we had to cut the tail off, before it will sting us.
