YMBL PBR Bull Ride with Roger Creager & Robert Earl Keen

Hang on tight, Beaumont! Get ready to witness 45 of the world’s top athletes, followed by the men who dare to ride them! The Professional Bull Riders come to Beaumont seeking valuable qualifying points for the 2009 Professional Bull Riders Tour Finals - And nothing will stop these cowboys from realizing their dream - nothing but the will of a ferocious 2000 pound raging bull!

The YMBL/PBR Chute-Out Bull Ride marks the return of the PBR to Ford Park after last year’s sell-out performances. The country’s top bull man and President of Frontier Rodeo Company, Jerry Nelson, will once again supply livestock for the YMBL/PBR Chute-Out Bull Ride. Mr. Nelson’s Frontier Rodeo Company has been honored as one of the country’s top livestock contractors by the Professional Bull Riders.

As an added bonus, the YMBL/PBR Chute-Out Bull Ride will feature post-event concerts by Texas legends, Roger Creager and Robert Earl Keen!

Robert Creager will perform after the YMBL/PBR Chute-Out Bull Ride on Friday, August 21st. For more than a decade, Roger Creager built a reputation on his distinctive brand of hard-core, rabble-rousing Texas Country music, on his rich, full-bodied voice that can carry a tune for miles. The Corpus Christi native was raised under the influence of Jerry Jeff Walker, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, and Jimmy Buffett, along with Willie, Waylon, Cash, Merle, and even Sinatra. Creager’s first new album in five years, “Here It is” features the hit single “I love Being Lonsome”.

Robert Earl Keen will take the stage after the YMBL/PBR Chute-Out Bull Ride on Saturday, August 22nd. Robert Earl Keen got his start playing country music on his front porch with Lyle Lovett - and the rest is history. Keen has become one of the country’s most prolific Texas singer & songwriters. Among the talented songwriters who emerged in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, Keen struck an unusual balance between sensitive story-portraits ("Corpus Christi Bay") and raucous barroom fun ("That Buckin' Song").

The YMBL/PBR Chute-Out Bull Ride begins at 8:00 p.m. each night. Ticket prices are $40, $25 & $15. Service and facility fees may apply to ticket prices. Tickets go on-sale at 10:00 am Friday, June 26 at Ford Park box office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Charge tickets by phone at 800-475-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
