Woman's life better after breaking long nails
Woman's life better after breaking long nails
A Salt Lake City woman who held a Guinness World Record for her long fingernails before they broke off in a car crash says it was the most dramatic event of her life. But Lee Redmond, who lost the fingernails in February, says it's now much easier to do things and her hands seem to fly with the weight of the nails gone.
The 68-year-old won't grow her nails out again, saying it took 30 years the first time and she may not live for another 30.
Redmond hadn't cut her nails since 1979 and entered the Guinness World Records book in 2002 for longest fingernails on a woman. The Guinness Web site says her nails measured a total of more than 28 feet long in 2008, with the longest nail on her right thumb at 2 feet, 11 inches.

This story is about a woman who held the world record for having the longest nails. she had been growing her nails our for 30 years! but she lost her fingernails in February 2009 is glad to have her 28ft long nails.
I'm glad her nails are gone. I think that having that long of nails is gross and disgusting. she is and will be much more happier with not the heavy nails and how hard it is to do everything. This is what i think of this article.
When I read this...it gave me goosebumps everywhere! I just think that it is gross to have about 3 feet long of pure nail. I mean she hasn't cut them since 1979! It is just weird to me.

thaats so nasty who wants there nails that long you couldent even go to the bathroom or text i dont even know how you could drive with fingernails that long in the first place
I think she made a smart move to not grow her fingernails anymore after her car crash. I think it would have been very difficult to do basic things.
Wow who does that I would never grow my nails out that long because you wouldn't be able to use the bathroom and you wouldn't be able to write or do homework that's why I keep my nails short I don't even let my nails grow 4ins cause I'm not like that and too me that's pretty GROWSE and also this was in the Gunnise World Records but i don't know who would do that cause to me i wouldn't well if you even try to grow your nails out that long if you wanted the to be cut you have to get them sawed off and that hurts
WOW I don't see why she would want to grow her fingernails, but that is so gross. I don't see how see can even cut hair with it, she even got to be in the world Records book in 2002 for the longest fingernails on a woman, her nails mesured a total of 28 feet long in 2008. It took 30 years for her to grow her nails I couldn't even last that long. :)
I don't see how that could even be possible. If you ask me I think doing that is discusting. I can't even stand to grow out my nails even a little bit! But I am glad that she is okay from the car crash but she doesn't need to grow her finger nails out again because she wouldn't be able to do anything! Also I don't know if i would be that upset over finger nails. But congratulations on getting in the Guinness Book of World Records!!! :)
I think that it is werid that she kept it that long. How could she even eat or drive or even write something. But at the same time i think that it's cool that she has long fingernails.
