Woman passes driver's test on 950th try
A woman in South Korea who tried to pass the written exam for a driver's license with near-daily attempts since April 2005 has finally succeeded on her 950th time. The aspiring driver spent more than 5 million won ($4,200) in application fees, but until now had failed to score the minimum 60 out of a possible 100 points needed to get behind the wheel for a driving test.
Cha Sa-soon, 68, finally passed the written exam with a score of 60 on Wednesday, said Choi Young-chul, a police official at the drivers' license agency in Jeonju, 130 miles (210 kilometers) south of Seoul.
Police said Cha took the test hundreds of times, but had no specific total. Local media said she took the test 950 times. Now she must pass a driving test before getting her license, Choi said. Repeated calls to Cha seeking comment went unanswered. She told the Korea Times newspaper she needed the license for her vegetable-selling business.

Wow! and i thought i was a bad driver! I hope it only takes me 3 or less times! i cant imagine taking it 950 times!!!!
That might be a long time,but I wouldn't feel ashamed because nobody in this world is perfect.I don't think I would have been able to pass it on the first time. I would probably have to study a lot.
I can't believe it took her 950 tries just to get a driver's license! She was really persistent and determined to get her license. At least she was probably surprised and proud that she actually passed her exam in driving.
I don't care if she passed or not, I wouldn't let her drive. Who knows what kind of damage she could cause. I mean seriously it took her 950 times to pass her test. That's crazy, she had to be guessing the whole time. I don't know how you could fail that much
It took her 950 trys? that is a little freaky. I am glad I don't live by her because if she was driving she might drive off the road and crash into something or someone. She was detirmend to get that license! She must have had a pretty boring and hard life from not driving at the normal age. I just hope it doesn't take me 950 tries, and like a lot of money to drive! I would have given up if it took me that long though.

Better late then never, I guess, I mean she must have had NO idea how to drive. I probably would pass my first try and it took her 950 tries. WOW!!!
Wow, I can't believe that it took that lady that long to pass her driver's test. I'm not trying to be mean, but it is pretty ridiculous. I sure hope it doesn't take me 950 tries to get my driver's license.
she must of really been determined because i would have gave up like 900 times ago that is crazy if your not gonna pass it the first few time then your prob never gonna be very good or safe anyway.!
Thats ridiculous for anyone to fail that much. I think failing more than 8 times is bad. But 950 times! In my opinion 8 should be the max until you cant take it any more.
