Woman calls 911 over lack of shrimp in fried ric A woman called 911 to report she didn't get as much shrimp as she wanted in her fried rice at a Fort Worth-area restaurant. Police on Tuesday released the taped emergency call, in which the customer is heard telling the dispatcher, "to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?" The customer also said: "He didn't even put extra shrimp in there."

The upset customer was gone when an officer arrived Monday afternoon. Restaurant workers said the woman had been denied a refund after leaving with her order, then returning to complain. Cook June Lee said there was nothing wrong with the meal, and that "some customers are happy. Some are not."

This is stupid. Why would you complain and try to get everyone in trouble over some shrimp and fried rice? If you had the nerve to do that, I would be so mad that you called the cops because of shrimp. Also you could have asked them to give you more shrimp. Instead you complain and complain, then call the cops. This must have been a very ignorant person.

You call 911 if there is an emergency, not when you dont have to much shrimp in your stinkin fried rice.
Its like calling 911 because you dont have too much soup in your soup. I really didnt think anyone would call 911 because they ddidnt have to much shrimp in your fried rice. Also you could have asked to have some more shrimp instead of calling 911.

That is sad, sad, sad !!!! 911 calls are for emergency's ONLY!!!!!! Instead, she called because there wasn't enough shrimp in her fried rice!!!! I would have eaten it the way it was. Well, of course I love rice!!!!!

I think that is rediculous. 911 is use for emergencies only! When people call about stupid stuff like that they are wasting calls that can be used for someone elses emergency. I would have put him in jail for a day or make him do community service. He could have paid a little more for extra shrimp.

That lady was nuts! Who calls the police just because they didn't get extra shrimp in their rice! That's a pretty dumb reason. You call the police for emergencies you do not call the police so they can take care of your own personal problems.

This is so crazy! The woman does not need to call 911 if there is no emergency people might be in a real emergency and might not be able to get cops right away because there to busy dealing with not enough shrimp!
