'Twilight' madness as fans gather for premiere
A mini-tent city has bloomed outside the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles to see an "Eclipse."
Hundreds of fans are awaiting Thursday night's red-carpet premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," the third installment of the vampire movie series. The movie opens in theaters June 30.
Scripts are in the works for more "Twilight" movies.
About 9,000 wristbands are being handed out to fans, who began erecting tents Monday on concrete steps outside the theater. Nokia officials, who have issued a list of camping rules, say the wristbands must be worn until the premiere is over.
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner play Bella, Edward and Jacob in "Eclipse," which features Bella preparing for high school graduation and choosing a prom date — vampire Edward or werewolf Jacob.

wow i think that it would be funny to drive be and see a bunch of people in tents sleeping outside to just see a movie. i would if it was cold. those people must be really crazy
Wow! I cant belive that many people slept out side in a tent just to see a movie. In my opinon that was pretty stupid. I would not wait outside for anything ecspeacialy to see a movie. I would just wait until it came out on DVD. So then i could watch it in the comforts of my own home.
Camping out In l.A. for the premiere of The Movie 'Eclipse'. Is a big thing to teens all over the world. Including Me. I wouldnt go to the same extent to camping outside for a ticket to watch the premiere.Though it is dangerous. The only reason i would camp out , would be because there giving out backstage passes for a band or even to see my favorite actor 'Edward' also known as Robert Pattison. Its Amazing what teens would go through for this movie premiere. The Farthest extent ive gone to is the midnight premiere and even then it was madness to the extent of people whom showed up to watch the movie 'Eclipse'.But over all camping outside for the movie 'Eclipse' is very over the top.
wow Camping out side. I don't like twilight but i know if i did like them i would never in a million years camp outside.
Right here, is a huge Twilight Series NERD! I am in love with Twilight and if I were allowed to, I would totally do what the rest of these people are doing! I love the books and the movies are good too. TEAM EDWARD!

I'm a fan of twilight i could see standing outside for like 2 or 3 hours but camping is pretty over the top just for a movie premier !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahhahanhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah
I love Twilight I've seen all the movies that are out so far. I can't wait till the first half of breaking dawn comes out. My family and I are definitely going to see it because we are all big fans of those movies.
I think that is crazy to sleep in a tent to see the premiere of a movie. I don't think it will make a HUGE difference if you don't see the very first movie of it shown. Also just wait till it comes out an DVD and then you will be able to watch it whenever you want. Sleeping outside of a theater to see a movie is a complete waste of time and I will not be doing this anytime soon.
