That's no rat ridin' the rails!
A suspicious passenger of the four-legged variety led to the evacuation of a New York City subway car.
Startled riders aboard a Manhattan-bound train spotted an opossum curled up underneath a seat near the train's heating duct around 4:30 a.m. on Friday.
The New York Times reported that he animal apparently boarded the train at Coney Island in Brooklyn, where the platform is above ground.
The subway car was evacuated several stops later in Manhattan as officers wearing heavy gloves tried to remove it. When the marsupial bared its teeth at them, animal control experts were called in.
Rats and pigeons are often seen in the city's subways, but NYC Transit spokesman Charles Seaton says it's the first time anybody could remember a wild animal in the system.

He was probably cold if he was cuddled on the heating duct! it's funny that he bit the guy but that had to hurt!! hahahahah!
I kind of feel bad that the opossum got caught on the subway. I mean it had to be terrified! If I was that tiny with all these huge people around me I'd be scared too. I just hope animal control didn't hurt it while they were removing it from the subway.
I wouldn't ride the sub-way for nothing. I would walk or take a taxi. I hate possums I seen one close up once and never wanna see it again.

I think rats and possums are both disgusting! Opossums look like giant rat, which is really scary and nasty to be around. And besides city buses are nasty anyway..
I personally think this is kind of cool. I mean, it probably was scary for people on the train but that the opossum was the first wild animal on the NYC Transit system. I also thought it was cool that the opossum was just sitting there under the seat as if it were a hobo sneaking on the train and trying to sneak off. Another thing that I think is interesting is that there was a opossum all the way up in New York City. I just did not know that they lived even in that area and I thought that was kind of cool.
That opossum is one funny little creature. But that should tell us something about our world and that animals are being found in cities because they may have lost their homes in the woods. Maybe construction workers were cutting down a whole load of trees to build a new house and that opossum lost its home in a tree.
Um, how did that opossum get their? That's so cool! It's very interesting. Well, if no body wants that opossum, I will have it, because opossum is cute.

Yuck! If I was on that trainIi would scream and want my money back! I do love animals but only when I comes to cute ones! I wonder what animal control did to the opossum!
