Sony's 3-D TVs are compatible with PlayStation
Sony Corp. said Tuesday it will start selling 3-D televisions in four sizes by June. It plans to release a firmware update to its PlayStation 3 console this summer, making three-dimensional gaming a reality.
The 40-inch and 46-inch versions will go on sale on June 10 in Japan, while the 52- and 60-inch TVs will be available starting July 16.
The 40-inch 3-D will cost about $3,200 and the biggest 60-inch will retail at $6,400.
Included are two pairs of Sony's 3-D glasses, as well as a camera sensor on each unit that will adjust sound and picture quality based on viewers' positions.
Interest in 3-D has accelerated recently with the help of three-dimensional blockbusters such as "Avatar" and "Alice in Wonderland," which earned a record $116.3 million in its opening weekend.
Samsung, the world's best-selling TV maker, began selling 3-D units in South Korea last month. Panasonic Corp. is partnering with Best Buy Co. to fuel sales of its own 3D TVs, which launch in the U.S. on Wednesday.
To stand out, Sony plans to exploit its strengths in entertainment, gaming and other products to offer customers a broad selection of 3-D content.

What's cooler than that this just another reason why PlayStation is better than xbox. Now what do all the people who have xbox have to say now Sony 3D xbox is not. Remember this though wonce you go Sony you stay Sony NOT XBOX.
I can't wait to be able to watch TV in 3D and play video games 3D. But I hate how much it costs. The biggest is like six thousand dollars. And I will get this TV, if it's the death of me. I am getting it, then it's going in my room and nobody will be allowed to use it
Summary: this article is about the Sony 3-D TVs being compatible with the Playstation 3 and future devices and Playstation 3 games will have a little 3-D effect.
That's really cool! I wish we had one! I wonder if they're on slae here in the good old USA. Are they? Still uber cool! Wowowowowow!
Comment: tv only in 3-D with Playstation 3 games I think a lot of people will buy those games and buy the tv cause 3-D makes you feel like your their some games would really like that and some of those games are excusively 3-d which you need that tv for.
I would love to have a 3-D TV, but the price is high. Some people don't have enough money to buy stuff right now. the economy is not well right now and having a really expensive TV is not gonna have good sales at the time.
Having a TV in 3-D that is compatible with a Playstation sounds cool but some people get headaches by just watching something in 3-D.

The new 3D gaming experience will have there customers jumping out of there seat. The price of there TVs are a little expensive, but within the next few months, the price will drop down by almost 50%. I plan on buying there 60 inch TV within the next few years.
