Shania Twain set as 'American Idol' guest judge

Shania Twain set as 'American Idol' guest judge Shania Twain is joining the ranks of "American Idol" guest judges. A spokesman for the show said Tuesday that the country singer will take part in the Chicago auditions set for the end of August. Kelly Clarkson, the original "American Idol," and one of the Jonas Brothers also may end up as guest judges.

But they had yet to be confirmed Tuesday.


"American Idol" began enlisting visiting celebrities after a contract dispute led Paula Abdul to announce she was quitting the show. There's been speculation that Abdul still could reach a deal and return for the ninth season, starting in January.

When I was younger my mom would put on Shania Twain and I would to the songs. I think she should be a regular judge for "American Idol" because Ellen and Kara left this year, she would be a great judge for "American Idol."

I think Shiana Twain would be a good guest on Amercian Idol! I think it's a good idea because she does give good advice about things. She is an amazing singer!

I think Shania Twain should join American Idol. I love her. My favorite song of hers is "Man I feel like a woman." That song is so good. So yes Shania Twain is a great judge for American Idol.

I love Shania ! She is my favorite singer! I honestly think she would be a great guest judge. She has more experience in the music world than ANY other person. I am so happy she gets the opportunity to do this. It's so exciting.

That is so cool to have a judge judge the contestants fairly instead of just liking one and help that one win so I'm kind of glad to see her as a judge on American Idol.

I Honestly Think Shania Twain Should Be A Guest Star Not Any Of The Jonas Brothers. She Has More Ummm.....Musical Experience Then Any Of The Jonas Boys. Maybe If People Like Her And If She Does A Good Enough Job She Will Become A Judge For American Idol. I Do Also Love Her Music,She Has Such An Amazing Voice.....Well That's Just My Thoughts.

This article was about the guest appearance of Shania Twain on American Idol. I would like to say that I did see that story and all I can say is that she knows her stuff and can give advice on how to make the person better. It is always amazing to see someone who can give constructive advice because some music artists cannot give advice to make the person better. I am also happy that she did get that opportunity to do that because she is a great singer and deserves that opportunity.

It didn't seem that way cause Ellen is the one that got the spot before Shinia did. Even though Shinia has a good voice Ellen is funny and loves to have fun with other contestant's.

That is so true. Kelly Clarkson though, has a good voice, but she is not as fun as Ellen is. I dont really know who Shinia is.
