Real-life Spiderman climbs Australian skyscraper
A French skyscraper climber nicknamed "Spiderman" was arrested Monday after scaling a 57-story building in Sydney with his bare hands.
Alain Robert, known for climbing some of the world's tallest and best-known buildings without ropes or other equipment, was arrested at the top of the Lumiere building downtown.
He climbed the building in about 20 minutes, as dozens of people watched from below.
"I'm sad he's been arrested, but hopefully he'll get out soon and we can have some champagne," said his agent, Max Markson.
He has not yet been charged. Last year, Robert was fined 750 Australian dollars ($676) for climbing the 41-story Royal Bank of Scotland building in Sydney.
Many of his past climbs have resulted in arrests and fines.
The 48-year-old has climbed more than 70 skyscrapers around the world, including the Empire State Building, the Sears Tower and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, according to his website.

I think this guy is crazy climbing sky scrapers without any ropes or harness. I think he needs to get a cat scan. But he is pretty skilled at climbing.
Creative Crazy Climbing
"Get down from there!" That is probably what Alain Robert's mother would yell from down below. Alain Robert, a French skyscraper climber, climbed the Lumiere Building in Sydney, Australia. This particular building stands at 57 feet high, but Robert climbed higher before! He climbed the building with no ropes or equipment and the cops arrested him at the top. In fact, many of his past climbs ended in arrests or fines.
I'm amazed at this guy! He climbed buildings without ropes or harnesses!? One slip and he would be dead! He must be very educated on climbing techniques if he climbed more than 40 buildings and has never been hurt! I don't think the cops should have arrested him. He made his own choices, and if he has the right knowledge, he should be able to do this. I would never be brave enough to do what Alain Robert does!
I think this guy is awesome he climbed many skyscrapers in his career! I would be so scared if that was me climbing all those buildings. We he's climbing one wrong move he'll fall a long way. If I knew the police were waiting for me at the top I would start to climb back down.
I think that it is cool that he climbed that....But before he climbed he should have gotten permission or something that didn't get him trouble. He should have used a rope when he climbed it because it is very dangerous and he could have gotten hurt and probably died if he had fallen. Other than those two things i think that this is very impressive.
This is so crazy. This guy in crazy. I'm surprised he'd keep doing something life-threatening. I'm especially surprised he keeps doing it after being arrested and fined.
Now I know that is not very safe but still it is very unsafe because if he fell he would most likely die. But on the other hand it is pretty cool cause spider man is my favorite superhero. But I know its not safe but I gotta say way to go.
Wow! That is unbelievable! He climbed some very tall buildings without getting hurt. Without equipment and he did fall at all. He must be a expert! But getting arrested for it is not good. I think he should stop climbing the buildings because you never know he might someday fall. But I hope he is careful.
Wow thats realy cool but not smart because what if he falls and pokes his eyes out then what im pretty sure that nobody wants to see a man fall to his death unles your dimented and like that stuff any wase how can you call him spider man when he isnt even wearing the costume and he doesnt look like peter parker at all and then he gets arrested for risking his life and why did he even do it was it something fun for him i dont know but its pretty weird
Wow! That is really cool. If you can climb a tower with equipment like ropes and things like that, but if you can climb one without any thing, that takes skill.
i thought parkour was cool but this is taking it to a new level i mean scaling a skyscraper with you bear hands! i got to give this guy props.
