Olsen twins debut "serious" fashions

Olsen twins debut "serious" fashions The Olsens, who already were inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America, showed their fashions for fall.

The clothes were indeed quite serious — and sophisticated. The first model wore a simple black wrap coat that was belted and black trousers with flat gladiator sandals. Most of the collection was black, which has been the norm on many catwalks at New York Fashion Week.

Adding textural interest, though, has been a trick to making all the black more interesting — and the Olsens mastered it. An A-line carriage skirt in a croc pattern was worn with a slim shirt and a delicate spaghetti-strap camisole on top. Another look featured a buttery leather corset over a flowing, asymmetrical-hem dress.

The only other colors featured were a delicate winter white and an ocean blue.

The Olsens' personal style has been chronicled for many years, including a phase of kooky vintage combinations. In their recent collection, one certainly could imagine either one of them wearing the very long black "Valley" dress that was paired with a black tuxedo-style blazer.

When I was younger I was in love with Mary Kate and Ashley. They've had some bad press over the years but it's glad to see that they are making a come back. They do have a big effect on our society's pop culture, especially in setting fashion trends (big bug eye sunglasses). So them starting a serious fashion line is a good idea.

Wow, they look different. I think it is a BIG step for them, and i think they are ready. Good for them! I love them so much. Ever since i saw the first episode of, "Full House" i knew they were going places!
What do you think?

you get it girls your lucky for the chances you get now just keep pushing it and always be greatful for what you have gotten.

The Olsen twins have always been known for their goth style. I've seen some of the Elizabeth and James brand clothing, and they reflect their unique dress choices. The pieces look really goth and dark. One piece that particularly reflects that was a long, black coat that had a tuxedo-like collar and the fabric undulates into old-fashioned lace at the bottom. I don't think anyone, besides the Olsen twins or vampires would wear that. A clothing brand needs to be unexpected and iconic, such as Hermes' unexpected take on equestrian, and Chanel's iconic tweeds and chains of costume pearls. I don't see the Twins having any other style besides gothic, but I would probably consider buying something for attending a funeral.

I think it is very spectacular that the twins are starting to really get into the fashion industry. I also like what they are doing with the color black because they are making the color have an edgy but yet saphisticated look. What I really like about them is that they have there own style and fashion sense and they really don't follow the "latest trends". They wear what they want and how they want to wear it. They are to very unique girls and have a very wonderful fashion sense.

The Olsen Twins have always had a very unique style, never really following a trend, but rather creating them. This line seems to be a direct reflection of their own personal style. Though it may seem like a "safe" collection due to the neutrals, the mix of the neutrals with the out there textile patterns and material choices really make this collection unique. In addition to this the simple clean cuts, such as the A-line skirts, blazers, and asymmetrical-hems create a classic pop to what may seem like a rather "bland" collection.

Sounds a bit boring, but I bet if I saw it it would be fabulous I have been in love with them ever since Full House, I was addicted to that like mad. They must have taken a long time thinking up something if it is as good as this says.

I must say that those girls had a lot of work to do to overcome the reputations they had made for themselves. To be taken seriously in the bussiness world they had to try and fail many times. I think most of us girls remember Mary kate and Ashley's clothes line at Walmart. These girls have put alot of work in building a great line. Kudos for them. Showing all the teen actors out there you don't have to be a teen actor hasbeen forever.

i dont think they should have a fashion line because they cant really dress. but if there fasion be better then the past, then they should.

I do not think they should have a fashion line. They really need to add some more colors. The new black is sparkles. Don't you think that someone who has their own fashion line would know that. They shouldn't even have their own fashion line. because they can't really dress as it is.
