New guitar game lets you strum real strings

New guitar game lets you strum real strings A new musical video game lets players strum a real six-string electric guitar instead of tapping buttons on a fake instrument.

Games such a "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" soared to popularity over the past several years. But lately they've been faltering, in part because customers have been reluctant to shell out big bucks for the fake musical instruments needed to play the games. Seven45 hopes "Power Gig" will lure gamers ready for a new challenge.

"Power Gig: Rise of the SixString" is a game first and foremost. But its maker, Seven45 Studios, says players will be able to plug the guitar that comes with it into a standard amp and play real music.

The company hasn't announced a price. It will be available in the fall.

Will I am not into these kind of games but people that are than they are lucky to go something like this. Will if halo or call of duty got new thing added to it than I will buy it.

cool i cant wait to buy it this seems like a better game than guitar hero but does it come with a real guitar or a bad plastic one that will fall apart or do you have to have your own?

Guitar hero rocks accept when they look like aliens with really really weird hair cuts their just
creepy looking to me but their cooler normal looking

It's cool, but instead of playing a video game pick up a real guitar and take lessons! Its not that hard, trust me, I've been playing for three years now and I'm better than I ever thought I would be. I don't even play guitar hero anymore.

Thats awesome. Now I don't have to touch fake guitars ever again.Struming a real guitar would make me feel like if I were to be in a real stage performing in front of my parents.

It is just a real guitar used for a game. If your going to play it you might as well use a fake guitar. Some people can't even afford it. You even have to learn how to play it which will probably take forever.

I love the idea! I have Rock Band and an electric guitar of my own but I think the game will bring many users. I used to love playing Rock Band but it faded away as i always wished they would come out with a game that you got to strum actual strings and stuff. I think it will teach someone how to do a couple basic things on guitar but it would let them have fun while learning. Plus you get the feeling of being a rock star! I would personally want the game myself really bad. I hope it would even teach u how to play songs on real guitar to. That would be so cool!

I think this game will not sell very easily. If people want to play a six stringed electronic game, they mind as well learn to play the real guitar. It is probably going to be hard to do. People most likely wont want to do it. Its a good idea but it wont work.

About time they made something closer to the real thing. Tapping the buttons is nothing like the real thing. And plus i think if you buy this you might as start playing guitar.

I love rock band and guitar hero im still working on some of the songs in hard mode with these games but i can't believe they have string guitars its more harder.
