New Apple iPod is awesomely small

New Apple iPod is awesomely small By now, Apple's introduction of new iPods each fall is about as surprising as kids going back to school.

Apple took some risks this time. It cut the video recording and playback features from the Nano to shrink it while adding a touch screen, and went back in time stylistically to rework the tiny Shuffle.

The latest Nano trades in its rectangular body for a small square and eschewing the traditional iPod click-wheel controls in favor of a touch screen flanked by a few buttons.

If the old Nano said, "Take me with you," the new Nano screams, "Only a fool would leave me at home!" It's less than half the size of the old Nano and fits in even the smallest pocket. And it finally comes with a built-in back clip, so you can attach the player to your shirt or pocket when you're exercising or walking around. Adios, expensive clip case.

You also don't need to worry whether you've clipped it on upside down, as Apple smartly included a feature that lets you flip the screen's orientation by twisting two fingers on the screen.

Apple says the Nano, which comes with 8 or 16 gigabytes of storage, should give you up to 24 hours of music playback; I got close to 15 hours from a single charge when listening to music and viewing photos.

There is no point in this. There are already many different apple products. We don't need smaller ones. They go from small, medium and large. Now they're going to extra small? What's the point? Everyone is complaining about children always on electronics but yet they keep on making different ones. We don't need any different types of electronics.

I like all of apples products including this one. This has proven that it really doesn't not matter about size.
And this ipod has really got some new features that make its size surprising. Our nations electronics just keep getting better and better.

I hated the older shuffle. The one without the buttons. I do not have one but the idea did not seem like it would work. The headphones are what controlled it. I like that Apple went back to the buttons. The newest generation is quite similar to the second generation. That was a good move by Apple.

I should buy one for school that way you can listen to music anywhere without people finding out. I can hide it and have to keep track of it so it doesn't get lost

.

I think these Ipods are cute but having one that small I would lose mine in the first few days enless I kept it in my pocket all the time but something as big as the ipads are too big, and you cant watch videos that little Ipod Nano, and you cant get on facebook or play game or anything like that.

My brother got this i-pod and he loves it so much. I want one so much. I don't think that he will ever get a new one.

This seems a tad TOO small for my taste. Then again, I've never really been a big fan of the nanos. I lean more towards the Touch of Classics. I look for more storage for the price. Granted, an iPod touch doesn't do that much justice, an iPod Classic 160GB is the perfect example

It is to small, but it might work if your running or doing outside work, and you need an iPod. I really think that the iTouch would be better then the Nano with a screen. You can't even watch videos on a little screen.

Why would you put a touch screen on a shuffle I mean that is stupid. How will you work the touch screen. The words have to be big in order for you to work it. I liked it when only the iTouch had it.

I think it would be very cool to have a small ipod nano with a touch screen because with the big ipod touch its easy to see if its in your pocket but if you have the small ipod nano in your pocket it would be hard to see if you even have anything in your pocket. Also you can hide it in the smallest place and only you would know where to find in either your dresser or locker or some place in your room. Another thing is that you could clip it to you and you wouldn't have to worry about it falling.
