Mrs. Obama gets kids moving with NFL

Mrs. Obama gets kids moving with NFL First lady Michelle Obama came Wednesday to the French Quarter, not for fine dining or jazz but to play football with the NFL.

She caught a pass during a flag football drill with a group of children at a temporary football field in Woldenberg Park. The NFL's Play 60 clinic is part of the league's events for the Thursday launch of its football season.

The program encourages children to move at least an hour each day. Its goals are similar to her "Let's Move!" campaign against childhood obesity. In July, she teamed up with Major League Baseball in Baltimore to promote exercise and healthy eating for America's youth.

"We're here because of you," she told about 70 students from the metropolitan New Orleans area. "We want you guys to grow up strong and healthy. Anyone can be smart and funny but if you're not in good health, we know that you will have a hard way to go."

She joined NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy and former players, including New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister and New England Patriots wide receiver Rodney Harrison.

I think it is cool that she is helping kids exercise. It is good that she is making kids get out and have fun.
I think it is great that she encourages kids to work harder to get athletic.

I think it is awesome that Mrs. Obama is helping out kids and teens out like this. I know she has also been in a bit of Disney business encouraging kids to do good in life.

I think that is awesome that she is doing that for kids.I also heard of play60.I thought that was a great idea to get kids and maybe grownups to get active.

i think it is good that Michelle Obama is getting active with Young people. because now people sit around and don't exercises and have problems with there body so yeah i think it is good that she is doing this and hopeful it will get around

I think that is good idea that Michelle Obama is helping the kid . Kid today only like to play video games like the wii and the xbox360 .But those games are not going to hel kid.So I'm good with the thing that Michelle Obama is doing.I agree with taht so good job Michelle Obama:-).

I think the first lady is doing a great job at keeping kids physically fit. It's great that she's making an effort to help with the obesity rate in America.

I think that it is good that she is do this to help save childhood obesity. Because if she doesn't no one else will. It is also good that Famous Athletes are helping out to.It really show that they care about kids.
