Mrs. Obama defeats Jimmy Fallon

Mrs. Obama defeats Jimmy Fallon Michelle Obama and "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon turned the White House into a playground to promote the first lady's "Let's Move!" fitness campaign.

Mrs. Obama and Fallon did pushups and twirled hula hoops. They competed at dodge ball and tug-of-war. And the first lady triumphed over the comedian in a climactic potato sack race.

After a defeated Fallon said, "It doesn't matter if you won or lost," the first lady replied, "It matters."

The segment was taped last month and aired early Wednesday on NBC's "Late Night" program.

Mrs. Obama has been making the talk-show rounds to celebrate the second anniversary of her campaign against childhood obesity. In the past few weeks she has appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," ''The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Rachael Ray."

I think everything Mrs. Obama is doing to help people eat healthier and exercise more. There is no one I can think of who is popular enough and has made an effort towards this. She seems like someone children will listen to because she is the presidents wife and because she has young kids of her own, she knows how to act towards children to get them to listen and understand. If her husband is not re-elected, I can still see her trying to make a difference in peoples lives.

Michelle Obama is very inspirational about peoples health. I love how she tries to bring down the percentage of obesity in America. I also like the idea of her campaign against childhood obesity. Mrs. Obama, in my opinion, looks really good for her age and people needs to be more like her. She is a strong woman and a great role model.

I think that it's great that the White House has been promoting healthier lives. Mrs. Obama has done a great job of trying to keep the US as healthy as possible. By using her position as First Lady, she is doing a lot to motivate kids to healthier lives. Tthese promotions, could help the United States become far less obese. These obesity problems lead to major medical issues. If we help solve the obesity crisis, we can focus on academics and other things that help change lives, for the better. If Mrs. Obama and the citizens of the US work together to solve this problem, our country can become much more healthy.

I think this is wonderful, honestly. Michelle Obama, former "First Lady" visited us at Iowa at Wells Fargo Arena for the 2nd Annual Lets move Campaign! She herself, congratulated us with exciting activities, lunches, and performances. I'm glad she got to our state for wishing us to be the healthiest state in the U.S. I hope she continues to inspire all of the world to get fit, healthy, and stay in shape.

I think it is great that the first lady is stepping in with childhood obesity. America really needs someone to show the people what exercise can do for them.

I saw her on tv with the biggest losers excercising at the White House with them. I never seen a president wife do this before so this is good i think that she cares about teaching everyone to excercis and be healthy.

It is so encouraging to see the first lady take on an issue as serious as childhood obesity. And it's also rather wise of her to use popular late night tv to help promote it.

This was a great idea to help promote and advertise getting active for a more healthy life. It is quite admirable what Mrs. Obama is doing here.

That is good for her. That proves girls are better than boys. Mrs. Obama probably is very fit and is very good at sports. She was defintly a shoe in to win.

Okay I’d like to start out by saying I am not a fan of Barack Obama, but the first lady is pretty cool. Jimmy Fallon is my favorite comedian. He is funny and he does the only late night show on T.V. I’m allowed to watch. This is a very clever way to spread news of her Obesity Prevention program.
