McDonald's offends Pit Bull owners
McDonald's apologized and pulled an ad that came back to bite them.
The ad that said eating a Chicken McBite was less risky than petting a pit bull enraged pit bull owners and their defenders.
McDonald's spokeswoman Ashlee Yingling said Monday the Kansas City-area radio ad for Chicken McBites ran just a few days before it was pulled Friday.
The company issued an apology by email and social media sites and people who called a toll free number got a recorded apology.
Rachele Lizarraga of Sacramento says she found it reckless so she started a Facebook site and an online petition.
Some critics said McDonald's should also donate to pit bull causes or use a pit in an ad.
No word from McDonald's on those ideas.

pit bull are not bad dogs. yes, some are aggressive but it's not their fault. it's the owners fault for how they brought them up. Pit bulls are amazing dogs. they can be the best dog you could ever have. it just depends on you and how you treat them. I don't have a pit bull; because they are banned where i live):
but if i could have one i would definitely have one! i love them so much. and i hate how they're miss judged... because people only hear the bad things and never the good.
Pit bulls are mean, but sometimes it's the way you raise and train them. they are very big and aggressive, and well it's sometimes when you mess with them then they will get you!!!!!
I think this is bad marketing on McDonald's part. They should have thought of the people that could have possibly been effected when they were in the process of finding something to compare the McBites to. it would have been a lot smarter to use an animal like a shark. i just don't unserstand how it wouldn't have crossed their minds that it might have offended pitbull owners, because their are a lot of pitbull owners in this country. i know a lot of pitbulls that wouldn't hurt a bug.

Pit bulls are amazing animals.I didn't like that McDonald's said that about pit bulls.Sure some pit bulls can be aggressive but not all are. All the pit bulls in my neighborhood are very kind and actually run from wild rabbits. Although I can see how that can be true because if you provoke them then I say IT'S YOUR FAULT! I think chicken nuggets have killed more people than pit bulls. Just sayin :/
mc.donalds you stink! i have a pit bull and he is sweet. i bet half of your employees like pittbulls and they are american bull terriers! they should sue mc donalds and that creepy clown of their's!!! and maybe get rid of him too.
McDonald's was wrong to make an ad like that, but it doesn't mean it isn't true. Pit Bulls are really dangerous animals. It doesn't matter how well an owner thinks they have trained it to be good, it is their nature to be violent and attack if provoked, and it isn't hard to provoke one. Owners think that their Pit Bull is different because they trained it, but that is just ignorance to the fact that they are very dangerous and can go off at any time. They don't realize this because they are emotionally attached to their dogs, and they won't accept the fact that their dog isn't the sweet little pet that other dogs can be. It is good that McDonald's apologized for the ad, but all the Pit Bull owners out there need to open their eyes and face the ugly truth that their dogs are dangerous not only to them, but to any other person or animal that the dog comes in contact with. Still over all the ad could have been worded better.
I really don't see it as a big issue with the whole commercial thing. I don't see why people get mad at things like comments like that. there is no reason for peolpe to get mad period. as much as i love pit bulls, theres really no reason to make comments as such.
