Man dressed as Batman told not to wear costume A Michigan man who was arrested after being spotted atop a building while wearing a Batman costume won't be dressing up for a while.

32-year-old Mark Williams was sentenced Monday to six months of probation. During that time, a judge says he's not allowed to wear costumes — including the Batman one he was wearing when Petoskey police picked him up in May.

The Harbor Springs man earlier pleaded guilty to attempted resisting/obstructing an officer.

Williams said he was inspired by others who dress as super heroes to prevent crime and reach out to the homeless.

Officers in Petoskey, about 225 miles northwest of Detroit, also confiscated a baton-like weapon and a can of chemical irritant spray. Williams says he didn't intend to use them.

Why did he get arrested? Tell us more about it. Not enough information. What did he do wrong all he did was wear a costume.

I think that was stupid especially when he said that he didn't intend on using the weapons if wasn't going to use them then why would he have to. To me this guy was a little to inspired by people who wear super hero costumes. People who read this story don't what he did even if some how he inspired you to wear a super hero costume.

This guy is one of a kind. I have never saw anything like it. But I think it's unfair that he can't wear costumes anymore.

This is a little weird because this is not a good example for little kids who live near this guy. I would be scared if I lived near him because this guy is crazy. I don't think people should climb on buildings wearing costumes even if they think they are doing good but, thats my personal opinion.

y couldnt he wear a costume its up to him but when it come to hes on top of a building ya he should maybe not do tht but the wepons part as long as he doesnt use them who cares

I don't think it was very necessary for a man to go on top of a building in a Batman costume. I also don't think that making the 32 year old not wear a costume for a little longer is a very good punishment because if I can live without a costume, so could a 32 year old live without it, too.

Wow that is really weird for a 32 year old man would dress up as batman. For one that stuff is for little kids like on Halloween. Also for two he is 32 and too old for little costumes.

Why would you dress as a super hero.Usually people would wear a ski mask but why a super hero?I mean did he really think that it would help him?And why a baton weapon?
