Man catches world's largest, largemouth bass

Man catches world's largest, largemouth bass A man was being credited with tying the 77-year-old world record for catching the biggest largemouth bass.

The International Game Fish Association announced Friday that it had confirmed the 22-pound, 4-ounce fish caught by Manabu Kurita.

The Florida-based group said Kurita caught the fish July 2 on Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake.

Kurita's fish tied the record of George Perry, who caught his bass on Georgia's Montgomery Lake on June 2, 1932.

Kurita used 25-pound test line and a live blue gill as bait.

A man catches a 22 pound, 4 ounce Largemouth Bass. That is the largest game fish ever caught. It was caught by a man named Manabu Kurita. It was caught on July 2ND in Florida. The catch of this fish nearly tied an earlier record set on June 2ND, 1932.

Wow, I have never even seen a fish this big before, in fact, I have never even heard of a fish that big before!

That's cool. When I fish I catch 3 pound stripers and to catch a 22 pound large mouth bass that's awesome. I wonder how long it took to reel that large mouth bass in. I've heard of battles for 3 hours and the fish weighs about 100 pounds so a fish weighing 22 pounds still must of taken long. I wonder if that guy is a pro fisher or just a guy going on a fishing trip.

did you hook it throw the spine that way it can swim inthe water

Wow that fish must weigh allot a fish that weighs that much i cant even pull in a fish that weighs 22 pounds. and the guy that pulled in that fish must had waited for a long time that fish weighs more than my little 3 year old brother.

That fish is the biggest bass ive ever seen in my life. If i caught that i would mount it. I thought my bass is big,but that bass ia a giant.

WOW!!!!!!!!! that is a huge fish.It looks like that thing is pregnant.It probably weighs like 30 pounds.I could not ever reel in one of those. :)
