Justin Bieber concert off after girls go wild Thousands of frenzied teenagers, who spent the night camped out by Sydney Harbour awaiting a concert by pop star Justin Bieber, surged toward the venue Monday morning, sending at least eight girls to the hospital and injuring several more.

Police canceled the performance after the swarm, which may have begun when rumors spread that the 16-year-old Canadian heartthrob had arrived early. In the crush, at least 10 girls fainted, and paramedics had to pull them out of the crowd, according to Australia's Network Seven. Of the eight sent to the hospital, one fractured her knee cap, though most had hyperventilated.

Police said the station was well prepared, but that the frenzy of 5,000 fans got out of control.

"They wouldn't listen to our directions, so hence they left us with no option," Deputy Commissioner Dave Owens told reporters, adding it was a concern that so many youngsters were out at night without their parents.

"The doors were meant to open at 5, but they opened at 3 for some reason and everyone bolted," she said, adding that one of her friends was "knocked out" in the chaos. The singer was meant to take the stage just before 8 a.m.

Jessica Whatmore said she feared she would be trampled in all the pushing and shoving.

"I couldn't wait to get out of there," said the 13-year-old.

After the cancellation, many of the girls went to Network Seven's studios, where they caught a glimpse of Bieber through a window before he performed his hit "Baby" on the stage there.

I love Justin Bieber. He sings great and he looks so cute. When he is singing I feel like Iam in my own world, like nobody's there. I would love to go to his concert and meet him in person. I love to see his pictures and hear his songs all the time. I hate when people talk about him in the bad way like says he sings like a girl. But I think it sounds great! He's the one who followed his dream and that's what I am going to do - follow my dream. I love Justin's songs, the way he is singing, and also the way he makes his music videos. That's what I am going to do when I grow up - follow my dream, stay away from trouble, and live a good life. Thanks, Justin, for what you do. I went to a Justin Bieber concert back in August of last year. And not anyone there was that crazy. i had a lot of fun going. and it was deffinatly a experience i'll never forget! i love you Justin Bieber. (:

wow that is crazy. I can't believe that people would do that . I would never do that ,but i have never been to a Justin Bieber concert in my life. I like him but i would never go crazy. I can't believe anybody in their right mind would send people , because of Justin Bieber. I feel very sorry for the girls that got injured.

Wow why would they hurt other people just to see him! I mean i know he['s famouse, but so is Jay-Z but no one kills other girls for him. And Cody Simpson, Ryan Beaty, they are young artists and they don't get all that attention! Imagine how they feel. Girls need to calm down. I cant believe they didnt even listen to the deputys and police wene they gave then instructions. Now that is just plain crazy. Seriously girls, come on,

Justin Biber was having a concert at Sydney Harbour, when the fans of 5,ooo went crazy. I think that it is redicoulse that there were people who got sent to the hospital for this. The people of the venue should have had a better working system so things like this wouldn’t happen. I also think that the fans shouldn’t have been pushing to get in; I mean you all would have gotten in anyways. They did the right thing by canceling the concert because obviously these fans couldn’t take it. They shouldn’t have opened the doors two hours early, they should have opened them when they were suppose to been open. I also think that the fans should have been way calm. One person had a fractured knee cap just because people couldn’t have been calm.

Wow. Im glade he didet get hurt. But that is ridiculous. I like him but that is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over the top people. Beleve me way over!
