Jar removed from baby bear's head

Jar removed from baby bear's head A black bear cub in Florida affectionately known as "jarhead" can finally enjoy a good meal.

A clear plastic container was removed from the 6-month-old cub's head after being stuck for at least 10 days. The cub poked its head into the jar when digging through trash in a neighborhood in central Florida near Ocala.

Biologists say the jar made it impossible for the cub to eat or drink. So the bear had to be rescued to remove the jar. The team had to tranquilize the mother bear and then grab the cub to remove the jar from the bear's head.

The subdued mother was then put in a trap and the cubs followed. After she awoke and nursed the cubs, the bears were moved to a less populated area nearby.

First of all why would a bear be digging in a trash can when it can hunt for it`s food. How would a bear get it`s head stack in a jar?

A bear with a jar on i's head is funny but i fell sorry for it . He is nown as' jarhead' it was a cler plastic jar removed from the bears head. It was stuck on his head for more for 10 days. The bear found it well diging throu trash. It made so THE BEAR COULD NOT EAT!!!

a black bare cub got its head stuck in a jar and couldnt eat or drink it would of died
i thank it should of becous it appearentley wasnt afrade of people

I thank that it was a very good thang that they don for that bear if they did not do what they did the bear would have died and it would have ben a very paneful death.

1. Main point- The main point to this article is that a baby bear stuck it's head in a jar (silly bear) and couldn't eat or drink. They had to rescue the cub to take off the jar.

2. Affecting me- This affects me because it makes me laugh that the bear got stuck in a jar. But it also saddens me that the bear had to go down into the city to get food.

3. Future- This might affect me in the future because I want to help keep the forests clean and natural.

It must have been hard for the cub to breathe, drink, eat, and sleep. I'm very happy that the cub got the jar off of his head, or else he would of died from starvation or dehydration. That cub is very lucky. I now also think that we should do something different with our garbage cans, so this wont ever happen again to any animal.

In Flordia a 6 month old cub went in a neighborhood digging through trash and got a plastic jar stuck on his head. The biologists saw the cub and they said it is hard for him to eat or drink so they had to rescue the cub. When they found the cub it was with his mother and they had to shoot the mother bear with a tranquilizer in order to carry the cub to remove the jar off the cub's head. When the mother bear woke up she was in a trap with the cubs. The bears was moved to a less populated area.

This is funny how the bear got its head stuck in the jar i would not like to be the one who got it out.

Poor bear it must have been hard to breath and see and why did the bear even stick its head inside the plastic jar anyways?

I think that tranquilizing the mother of the cub and taking the container off its head was definately a good idea. The cub is lucky to have lived even 10 days without food. Also, the container could have been slowing down the bears oxygen supply. If they would've waited any longer to take the container off I think the cub wouldve died.
