Hi-tech phones require hi-tech gloves Annie Hemmesch knew there was a market for high-tech winter gloves when she saw her mother answer an iPhone call from her father.

"She brought it to her face and slid her nose on it," Hemmesch, of Chicago, said. "She said it was too cold to take her gloves off."

Last February, Hemmesch, her mother and sister started selling Telefingers gloves made by threading the thumbs, pointer fingers and middle fingers with conductive material that allows wearers to use touchscreen devices while keeping their hands warm.

Telefingers also offers a "flip tip" design.

"You can pop your finger through the little hole in the end of the fingertip," Hemmesch said. "You flip the fingertip back and then pop it back on."

Moisture and salts from human fingertips are what allows conductivity with the touchscreen, said Jennifer Spencer of Boulder, Colo., who sells Agloves woven with silver conductive material.

"If you put something between your finger and the screen, like a glove, it's not going to work," Spencer said. That's why the conductive material is so important, because it allows for similar conductivity, she said.

"Everywhere we travel, everywhere we go, we have technology and we have to have gloves that match the world we live in," Spencer said. "We need our gloves to be as smart as our phones."

I think that is a good idea. I hate when I have to take my glove off. When I have to do it to itch my nose or I have someone else do it for me. So this glove is a great idea. I need to buy a pair of this hi-tech gloves.

I would love a pair of these gloves, since I always open my phone during the winter with my nose. This could look very weird to most people, but what else can you do? These gloves will most likely end up being very popular.

I think that is dumb why you gonna spend so much money on gloves when they could of just made an upgraded touch screen phone they just want people to spend more money.

hahaha this is dumb. why would you need gloves to use your phone? It would just make it harder to use the phone because if couldn't tell if your typing or clicking. Also they look awkward. Like what if its the summer time and you were wearing gloves just so you could use your phone.

These gloves are a great invention for a person with a smartphone. I've had this problem before and this is a great solution. If there is a problem people keep inventing things to solve them.

That is stupid if you have to wear gloves when you are on your phone then why would anybody want the phone. Like I'm always on my phone i would have though gloves on like all the time.
