Goat on the lam since Christmas found safe
Goat on the lam since Christmas found safe
A goat that escaped a Minnesota Nativity scene is safe after 25 days on the loose.
Curly was found Wednesday afternoon on a farm southwest of Fergus Falls.
Tony Loomer came out to feed the horses and goats on his farm and noticed the extra goat. Curly appeared hungry, wet and cold and had lost weight.
Curly's owner, Jim Aakre (AWK'-ree), came to make sure the goat was his.
Aakre thought about going home to get a horse trailer, but Curly was already cold, so he and his wife, Karen, gave Curly her first car ride.
The 3-year-old Angora goat was supposed to be part of a live Nativity scene but escaped while she was being unloaded for a Christmas Eve service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

I think it is great that they found the goat and raised it back to health. It was the right thing to do! So the next time you see a lost or hurt animal go and help it because it is the right thing to do!
Yes vishal your right. Its a good idea to take care of animals. And if people don't know how to that should find some one that can

I like the goats name if I ever get a goat I will name it curly. My parents don't like farm animals though for some reason. I knew someone one time that had a pig as a pet and it slept with them and everything. I wouldn't want a pig sleeping in my bed a dog is one thing but pigs ewww.

I thinks thats a little funny. But I feel bad that it was found cold, wet, and hungry. But I think its funny that it got to ride back in the car. I bet it had the ride of its life. And I cant believe they were using a real goat for the scene.
Boy am I glad the goat (Curly) is safe now. If owners were more careful, Curly wouldn't have escaped the play and trailer. Twenty-five days is a long time to be lost, hungry, cold, and maybe thirsty. Maybe next Christmas Curly can shine in the nativity scene. Maybe next time he won't get away from his trailer.
I had a goat too, and he didn't have to be penned up because he just stayed around the farm. I had him since he was an hour old. His name was Nubby. I bottle fed his and everything like them. But then one day he came up missing, we looked everywhere for him. We think someone took him, that's what my dad and I think. And I'm glad they found him.
