Girls banned from ski jumps…what up with that?
TweenTribune reports that women aren’t allowed to participate in ski jumping at the Olympics.
Since 1998, the International Olympics Committee has been asked to change the ban on women ski jumpers, but it has yet to do so. All future Olympic sports MUST be open to both men and women BUT it only applies to future sports not those that already exist, not ski jumping.
The only other olympic competition that is mens only is the Nordic – but that includes ski jumping!
Women indeed are good at ski jumping. In fact, world ski jumping champion, American Lindsey Van, holds the North American distance record with a jump of 171 meters (563 feet) for both men and women.
Maybe the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia will be different with women able to show their ski jumping talents!

I think woman should be able to ski jump in the olympics. If girls cant do it no one should be able to do it.
I think it is very stupid that women are not allowed to compete in ski jumping in the Olympics. Personally, I love to ski, and i believe that anyone should be able to ski jumps weather they are men or women. I think this is very sexist and ignorant.
I don't think this is fair because girls can do the same thing boys can do. It's not fair to have the boys do what the girls aren't aloud to do. Then, when the girls want to do ski jumps your not going to let them. That's not right at all. What if girls are skiing in the Olympics? Then, the guys would be able to get more points for doing jumps and the girls will get lower points.
Well I think this law is judt plain dumb! it is quite sexist to not let girls participate in this sport, or any other sport at that. I believe that girls can do just as much as guys can when it comes to sports.
Sports: Women are getting banned from Olympic ski jumping! they say someone asked to have girls not to be in the competition. maybe the girls are more slim than boys so they go farther faster. just like Lindsey Van was the winner for women and men probably combined! maybe its the body inside that matches the out so then the body can go higher or farther than usual bodies. that's how some people win in movies or shows also real life its about economy. You might be in Texas and skiing might be slow because weather you may think its gana be cold because its skiing right. but its probably hot so your cloths weigh you down.
I think it is not fair for girls to not ski. They should be able to because they are no different from guys. I think they should have another chance to ski.
that is not fear for girls not ski why is that is something wrong with them or is there a problem becouse i like ski.
She should be allowed to ski jump. Is it cause she could ski jump the farthest ? That is not fair. they should go against that or like making a speech.
That is not fair we should be able to compete in ski jumping. That is so bad women can do the same thing men can. Women should be able to compete in the Olympics!
I think that is stupid. I am a a sports kind of girl. So of course i love sports i mean who dosent like sports . Also i hate this rule it should be over ruled .
