Family lost in corn maze calls 911 for help

Family lost in corn maze calls 911 for help A family that got lost in a seven-acre corn maze in Danvers, Massachusetts, whipped out a cell phone and called police for help, apparently taking advantage of the department's motto that says "We Want To Be Bothered."

The maze at Connors Farm depicts a headless horseman with words "Salem village" and "Danvers, Ma." The tourist attraction can take up to an hour to navigate.

A police officer entered the maze with a farm manager to search for the disoriented father, mother and two children.

The family did not realize that they had almost made their way out and were almost 25 feet from the street.

Farm owner Bob Connors said that they designed the maze so that people get lost in the long corn stalks.

WOW!!! Really! Would you call the police if you got lost in a corn maze? The funny part is that they were almost at the end of the maze. The whole point of the corn maze is to get lost and find your way out.

How silly! That is something I would do. I would get lost in the maze, and do the same thing that family did. But, calling the police when you only had 25 more feet until the exit is a whole different story! The only difference is this: I wouldn't call the police. Plus, if you didn't plan to get lost, why in the world would you go to a corn maze that can take more than an hour to get out of. And being that it was a 7 acre corn maze, shouldn't you get lost? That is the beauty of a corn maze! You have to love them!

If i were lost in a corn field I would just listen for cars and go twards that but if you get lost, good luck.

I think that's not necessary because when its time to close up they will come and get you. There is always a reason to carry around a compass.

How can sombody get lost in a corn maze? I would never get lost in a maze but if I did I wouldn't call 911 I would try to find my way out.

I don`t get why they have to call 911 . A corn maze are made to get lost and find your way out. Also, they would of got out no matter what .

You're supposed to get lost in a corn maze! That's the fun part about it! Also, how can you be so oblivious that you don't even notice that the exit is 25 feet from the exit. Next time they should figure out how to get out on their own, without calling the poice.

That would be terrible. I would not call 911 because you could just go through the corn. I think that the people only called 911 for publicity.

Why would a family call for 911 to get out of a corn maze? Corn mazes are suppose to be fun and we're suppose to get lost. I have been lost in a corn maze before and the fun part of it is trying to get out. It is pointless for calling 911 if we don't try to get out the maze by ourselves.
