Fallen trees damage teachers' cars
News quickly spread through students and staff members of Wilson Elementary School that a tree had fallen on a teacher’s car. The car belonged to pre-school paraprofessional Ms. Dedra. Principal Ignacio Cantu Jr. was walking back to the office from his car when he witnessed the tree branch split from the tree and fall.
“The way the trees were swaying made me nervous and I had a strong feeling something bad was going to happen. That’s when I heard the crackling of the tree and saw the branch fall and shatter the back window of the car.”
Almost an hour later as pre-school teacher, Ms. Laura was returning to her classroom she heard the same crackling noises. As she turned to look up at the trees she watched as another tree branch split and fell, this time on her own car. The tree branch not only smashed the top of her red Ford Escort, but also blocked the entire street on Escuelita Ave.
Modesto Police Department responded along with Modesto Fire Department and quickly sawed up the tree branch. After hearing the news of trees falling on teachers cars student Israel Padilla commented, “I was freaked out! That tree could have hit us.”

wow i feel so sorry for the teacher who ever is was man i feel so happy for the kids because they didnt have a teacher but they could of had a subsitute.I wonder how the the teacher felt like?
OUCH! i'm just feel sorry about the teacher because that could be a expensive car for him or could be his favorite car. First of all how did the tree fall was there a car crash, or was there a thunderstorm. What i wanna know if he has car insurance. Hope he gets a new car and i wish him a best of luck.

That was really bad that the tree fell on a teacher's car. She, Ms. Laura, must have felt upset when her car was crushed. It would have been really terrible if she would have been hit by the tree. What damage was already done to the tree to make the wind knock it over? Why didn't the police or the fire department check the other trees after the first tree branch fell? Hopefully she has car insurance.

Aww ! That stinks for her. She must so upset. At least no one got hurt . Well time for a new car. If that happened to me I'd be so furious. I'd probably let my anger out on other people. It's going to be tough for her now that she doesn't have a car. How she going to go to work now? Well it's bad to be her right now. She'll probably look back at this and laugh.

That just plain stinks. I am happy that was not my moms car. She would be mad for a while. Teachers this says some trees dont like you to much. Tough luck.
ohhhhhhhh. Tough luck. It does look like it was time for a new car anyway. Don't get me wrong the Ford Escort isn't a bad car. My mom has a friend who drove her car ( a Escort ) for like 18 years before she bought a new Mazda Speed3.
