Fallen trees damage teachers’ cars

News quickly spread through students and staff members of Wilson Elementary School that a tree had fallen on a teacher’s car. The car belonged to pre-school paraprofessional Ms. Dedra. Principal Ignacio Cantu Jr. was walking back to the office from his car when he witnessed the tree branch split from the tree and fall.

“The way the trees were swaying made me nervous and I had a strong feeling something bad was going to happen. That’s when I heard the crackling of the tree and saw the branch fall and shatter the back window of the car.”

Almost an hour later as pre-school teacher, Ms. Laura was returning to her classroom she heard the same crackling noises. As she turned to look up at the trees she watched as another tree branch split and fell, this time on her own car. The tree branch not only smashed the top of her red Ford Escort, but also blocked the entire street on Escuelita Ave.

Modesto Police Department responded along with Modesto Fire Department and quickly sawed up the tree branch. After hearing the news of trees falling on teachers cars student Israel Padilla commented, “I was freaked out! That tree could have hit us.”

i really dont think that people should not park under trees. dont park your car under old trees becuse a old trees might not hold up as well as it should.

that would be bad if a tree branch fill on that teacher car because it could have an expense. and then she would have to buy a new car.

well it was no ones fault no one knew that the tree was going to fall it is just their luck well that would suck if that happened to my car i mean my moms car.

I feel bad for the man or woman. That has to be allot of money like 7,000 for the car. I liked comant Karissa123. I hope that she or he was ok.

I`m glad it landed on a Ford! I don`t like them. That`s a pretty big hazard though! I`m glad nobody got hurt. That would have been really really really bad. They should consider cutting some of the trees down or making an actual parking lot.

Wow that would be extremely scary. What if you looked out the window and saw a tree fall? Even on your car! Looks like they have to pay for the damages.

Aww man, that must be brutal. I feel bad for the teachers and their car. I wonder how much money they both had to pay to fix their cars. Yikes! I guess Mother Earth is one bad mama!

I Think The Teahers Should Not Leave Their ' Cars Parked Under A Tree In Bad Weather Because Something Like This Can Happen Again.

WOW. That is scary and really a saffty hazard. I mean what IF one of the tree branches had fallen on a kid?? the school would be sued! So i think that the fire depratment should plan on cutting down some of the tree branchs, not the really big ones but just enough so the kids and staff wont have to worry as much.

hope fully the teacher wasn't in the car and she was OK. that would suck i would be so mad if someone Had a branch that just fell on my car. not only would i be upset i would go to that person and have a talk with that person.
