Everyone can't take a snow day
Plenty of schools may be closed as the Northeast bunkers in for another big snowstorm. But a snow day isn't an option for everyone.
In Allentown, Pa., 52-year-old Jim Yourgal walked 3 miles Thursday morning to his job as a valet at an orthopedic center. He was afraid he wouldn't be able to drive home in there was a foot of snow this afternoon.
In Philadelphia, 39-year-old Denise Woodard caught an early morning subway train as she headed to her nursing assistant job in Norristown. Her three kids were staying with her mother because Woodard figured she might be stranded at work.
In New York, Alan SanFilippo, of Long Beach on Long Island, said he likes the snow. It means overtime shoveling the tracks at the Long Island Rail Road yard in Manhattan.

I do not like snow because I do not like picking up snow off the ground and the streets and driveway and off the sidewalks and off the cars.
On snow days I don't usually go out and shovel the snow with my mom sometimes. It's because my hands kind of get cold with my gloves on. This year i tried putting on extra gloves but still feel cold.
Man I just wish our school would shut down for a snow day.I would freeze to death because it would be so cold.Snow days are pretty much fun but cold It is cool having a snow day people should enjoy every bit of it.
i can take a snow day i like the snow and play in it evey time it snow and it is so fun to hit pepole with snow balls in the head and make llitle house to hind so you will not get hit with them
It is not fair that people still have work with that much snow. Three miles that is crazy he should not try to walk alone for three miles gust to get there. So much could have gone wrong. Someone should have at least gone with him. He should not have gone to work that day or ever when it is that bad.
I think that they should not cancel school because of the snow. If the snow plow can't get through then we do not need to not have school. if the plow can get through then we can have school that what i think...
I would of called in sick with a cold. And if I tride to walk three miles I would of died witch would of sucked.
That' bad people had to walk to work but they didn't waste fuel and got exercise for the day.They also didn't pollute the earth with their cars.
That's pretty cool but I'd pretty munch freeze to death. snow days are pretty cool but I wish we could have some kind of national snow week even if it is't snowing at all
WHY ISENT THAT A SCHOOL DAY THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE IT ONE I MEAN THAT MUCH SNOW WE BEARLY GET 1 INCH EVERY OTHER YEAR LOL
