Eleanor, c.1947
Eleanor, c.1947: Harry Callahan often transformed his everyday subjects—nature, architecture, city streets, his wife Eleanor and daughter Judith into (barely recognizable) simple forms; a visual essence that still evokes their worldly counterparts.

I would give this picture to a public library because it shows peace and like she's thinking about something and being interested in what she's looking at. That would be perfect for a library cause its all about focus.
This. Photograph. Is. Beautiful. My eyes started stinging so I had to minimize the photo. Those eyes! She's saying, "I know everything about you, the man standing behind you, and the child in your lap." Printing it in color would take away the rawness. When is this...'47? I think it resembles more of a late 60s--early 70s feel. But...beautiful....
I like the artists work and all but i think that this picture shows a girl who is lonely and depressed and it is very easy to see that but i think that it would be better if her face was showed more and if it showed more detailed work.
i like this picture alot. its full of so much emotion, its overwhelming. her eyes seem to be somewhat distant. she has something on her mind, maybe pain, or perhaps confusion. it being in black and white makes the emotions stand out more, almost like it makes them more powerful.
I think this picture is very unique and full of emotion! She looks very emotional, confused, and depressed. I like how you added the arms in to make this picture more abstract and confusing to figure out. I enjoy this picture because it is difficult to understand what she thinking and it make me think in all different directions. I believe that this picture is very beautiful and you did a very nice job!
I think this picture shows sorrow and emotion, but on this picture i'd make her look happy.
if you paint an picture make it as beutiful as you can.
That is a very interesting portrait. It is framed with her arms in the perfect position. I especially wanted to post here because nobody commented here and I want to spread the word that art can be interesting to have an opinion about too.
I think this would be an even better picture, if her arms were a little bit up more. It would show more of her face and make the picture look better... and crop her armpit out.
