Dog spots gator that's captured barehanded
Witnesses say a reptile wrangler used his bare hands to capture a 4-foot alligator that an alert dog noticed outside an Ohio business.
Employee Jeff Colucy was with his Weimaraner (WEYE'-meh-rah-ner) in the parking lot of a Columbus company that makes office fixtures when the dog went on alert Wednesday morning, focused on the alligator hunkered down in a puddle.
Police brought in reptile wrangler Chris Law, who captured the gator by grabbing it at the tail with his bare hands. He says he didn't have his usual reptile rescue gear because he was about to leave on vacation.
Law says people often buy alligators as pets, then dump them when they get too big. He picks up about 40 a year and turns them over to wildlife rescue groups.

I think that this is crazy an that an alligator would probably eat the dog an he didn't an i also didn't know that the human would capture the alligator an that it is in Ohio i though it would be in Michigan .
how and the world can someone get a alligator with thier bare hands i mean it would at least try to bite you and that is soooooooooooooooooooooooo akward.
I think that's cool. I mean, I wish I could pick an alligator up by its tail. It would be scary and cool at the same time. My question is, is that why would they call the alligator catcher if he is about to go on vacation?
I would be super scared to catch an ALLIGATOR with my bare hands. The dog and that man must be pretty brave. Alligators are so dangerous i don't get how someone can do that.
Wow that is cool!!! I wish i could try to catch an alligator. Ive never even seen a real alligator. So hes really lucky to live next to alligators.
that sounds awsome he is lucky he gets to live near a alligator i would love to try to cach a alligator whith my hands i only get to cach alligator snaping turtles.
I wouldn't pick up an alligator because they bite. I'm glad that the dog spotted the alligator. I wonder what type of dog spotted the alligator? I hope that the dog didn't get hurt or anything.
I'm surprised that the alligator didn't bite the guy that caught him. He could have turned his body around when he picked him up by the tail and bit him.
that is good that the dog sopted the anamal so that some people could help the anamal so it would not feel traped in a small plase
Why would that guy pick up a 4 foot alligator? That's crazy! I have no idea why he would pick it up.But, that is pretty cool that he picked it up barehanded.
