Do you floss? This monkey does!
Do you floss? This monkey does!
TweenTribune reports that 14-year-old Chonpe knows the value of keeping her teeth clean by regular flossing her teeth, too, and, she's a monkey! Chonpe, a macaque, who lives at the Iwatayama Monkey Park in Japan, has found that using a strand of her fur, helps rid her teeth of food particles.
Scientists say that macaques often bite on their hair and pull it through their teeth to get rid of pesky bugs but Chonpe noticed that tidbits of food were released by her actions, as well.
Flossing her teeth has become a daily routine(is it for you?) and Chonpe actually has several different methods...including “borrowing” locks from nearby companions to act as her dental floss. Orangutans and bonobos have be seen using twigs as toothpicks but Chonpe’s method is a bit easier on the teeth!

For this article i seems kind of weird, technically it isn't. For little kids this would encourage them, so that they would be able to floss daily like everyone else should do. Even for this article even know it seems weird it's actually a very good thing to floss. [for this article].
yes i floss everday. i think it is kinda crazy that a monkey dose that. and i think monkeys shouldnt be flossing. and thats what i think.
I knew monkeys were smart but i didn't know that they were smart enough to floss their own teeth. I should try to floss more so i can be like this monkey... smart. I wonder how this monkey knew how to do this. This monkey is truly incredible very incredible i mean.
Yes, I do floss everyday. I floss before I go to bed. I actual didn't read the thing but I'm just answering the question's. You know, the title, 'Do you floss? This monkey does!'
Wow that is so cool how they are smart enough to know that!!! I don't even remember to floss because I'm to busy with my homework. But I guess since they are monkeys they have nothing else better to do with there day. I think that using a stick or a twig will be dangerous for the teeth and it might make your gum bleed, or might knock out some teeth!!!!
Unlike most kids in America, The monkey flosses. Parents need to embrace Dental Hygiene for their on children's sake. Stay in school, Kids and floss after every meal.
A monkey flossing her teeth.......Only in Japan ;D
This monkey is so cute!! She flossing her teeth just like a human. She's so smart. Flossing teeth is good for our teeth. We should learn from the monkey that flossing the teeth every day to protect our teeth.
I think that monkey is very smart because flossing is a very important for people. That monkey is showing that flossing for a monkey is very good because monkeys eat tons of stuff and don't brush there teeth so they can get tons of gunk in between there teeth. Flossing is good for a monkey but using its hair is not good. A monkeys hair can carry diseases and bugs but its always a good thing to do everyday.
That's very surprising to know... That monkey is so talented and intelligent...All I can probably say is that monkeys are very smart and can be silly often or maybe...
MONKEY'S ROCK! Of course, an entity with the IQ of a monkey would notice such things. If they floss, soon they may be our fellow competitors in technology.
