Do dogs deserve day camp?
The yellow school bus makes its rounds, picking up one eager passenger after another en route to day camp. Small legs quickly climb the stairs, heads pop out of bus windows and excitement rises.
Each of these day campers has four legs and a tail and many wag those tails rapidly as the "Doggie Bus" pulls up at a southwest Miami camp created just for canines — Totally Dog.
Dog trainer Elena Sweet says she opened Totally Dog in 1999 as a peaceful getaway for dogs to run free, socialize and beat urban stress. Husband Jeremy drives the bus and dogs bound off into a bone-shaped wading pool, then romp at play.
Owners pay about $45 a day for camp. Kenny Reich says his three pooches go right to sleep after camp — a sure sign they had a doggone "great time."

No I dont think dogs should have a day camp because if the owners got a dog they shouldnt have. The only reason im saying this is because i used to hve 2 dogs and now i have one, but dogs dont deserve it. They should be treated like humans just like us. But sometimes it would be helpful if your dog went to doggy day camp because you woulnt have to worry about you dog getting loose.it would make it easy on you r parents because when your parents were at work or running around and you were at school they woulnt try to escape. But at least they would be getting pampered and playing with other dogs.
I think it's useless to have a doggy day camp because if the owner can't take care of the dog they shouldn't of got one in the first place. Also I think it's stupid because what are the dogs are going to do at the day camp. How are people going to entertain all those dogs?
No because the dog does not deserve to be tortured at a day camp. I think that dog should be outside so that don't do there business on the floor.
That is so cool!!!!!!! They pick up dogs on a yellow school bus!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish that was my job, to be around dogs all day!!! That would be fun. My dog would really like that. We should have him go to one day of that, but I don't think my parents would do that. Oh well.
I think that is pretty cool. It would be a great idea because I feel bad when I go to school and my parents are at work and my dog is at home alone not having fun, or exercising. It would be neat if my dog could go somewhere during the day to be able to do that! Although, there is no way that I would pay $45 just to send my dog to camp.
i think that is a great idea especially if your dog is a trouble maker you could just send him/her to doggy day camp but at the same time it's pretty werid if you ask me
think that dog day camp is a great idea. If the dog is a trouble maker then you can send him in so he wonnt make a mess in your house...or bite people
sometimes if like they did something really bad than i could understand....Now just send the poor animal there just not to be bothered with them than that is different most of the time.....Was it there choice to be brought here?
I think that dog day camp is a great idea. If the dog is a trouble maker then you can send him in so he want make a mess in your house. Also, so the dog can meet new dogs and have fun. The dog would be living the live. Plus, the dog can go to the bathroom more instead of holding it in if the dog stays in a kennel. So, dog care is a great idea for these who want their their dog to live a great doggie world.
