Daniel Radcliffe is Harry Potter no more
Daniel Radcliffe has attended a premiere for "The Woman in Black," his first movie role since the final Harry Potter movie was released last year.
Radcliffe, who is known to most movie-goers as the boy wizard Potter, says it felt "very natural" to move away from that character and start the next phase of his career.
The 22-year-old plays a widowed father and lawyer in the film adaptation of the Susan Hill's gothic ghost story, one of the longest-running plays in London's West End.
Nonetheless, many of Radcliffe's fans lining the red carpet at London's Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday greeted him with Potter books and other memorabilia to be signed.
Radcliffe attended the premiere with his co-star, British actress Liz White, who plays the title role.

Now that the Harry Potter movies are over it's really sad. When i was a kid it was all harry potter , now it's not. But his new movie " The Woman in black " is really good. I just watch the harry potter movies over and over and they never get old !
I think it's healthy for Daniel to move away from the Harry Potter role and start with other movies like "Woman in Black", which is a good start. I love his acting and he can do perfectly fine without Harry Potter. I saw Woman in Black and his acting was awesome! He has so many fans at such a young age, he can keep his career for a long time (with other movies).
Even though the Harry Potter series came to an end, it’s good to see that Daniel Radcliff is getting out there and doing new movies.
Wow it stinks that now all the harry potter movies are over. I hope in a few years they do a remake of all the movies like they did with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
It's good to see him moving away from the book series. I like him as an actor andI think he I personally think he played the role fantastically, seeing as I went and saw it. A truly frightening movie may I add, I hated the ending. But he as an actor deserves more roles and I hope to see him in more movies to come or even back on Broadway;)
I wish they were still doing the Harry Potter movies because they were really good and exciting.
Everybody has known Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter.
I can't believe now his doing "Women in Black". It looks really good.
awwwww. Well now he can pursue and be in other acting carrers hes only 23 somewhere around that age.I think hell be in some good movies he is in the women in black a horror movie so i guess we can see if he can make it now.
I was never really a Harry Potter fan. But even then, he was pretty much the face of Harry Potter. So it's really hard to think of him as another character in a different movie.
I have to say, I'm happy that Daniel Radcliffe is doing different movies and acting on broadway. Although, I can never say that I can look at him and not think about why i haven't gotten my letter to Hogwarts yet. The first time I ever saw him without the circle glasses, lightning bolt scar, and cloak of invisibility it seemed weird. It's like when your friend dresses the same way and does their hair the same way and then wears it different all of the sudden. It seems impossible to get used to him as someone other than Harry Potter. I guess his wizarding days are over.
Though I love the Harry Potter series, I'm excited to see Daniel Radcliffe in a new and different role. I'm sure that in this thriller, Radcliffe shows his natural talent. He had a great start in his career, and is continuing to make quality films. Although it is sad to see Harry Potter end, I'm ready to see his upcoming films.
