"Avatar: 'Last Airbender" sequel focuses on girl A sequel to Nickelodeon's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is in the works.

The channel said Wednesday the new animated TV series will premiere in 2011. It has the working title, "The Legend of Korra."

Nickelodeon says the series will build on the "mythology" of the original "The Last Airbender" series, which inspired this summer's live-action movie from filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (SHAH-muh-lahn).

The "Legend of Korra" is from the creator-producers of "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

Nickelodeon executive Brown Johnson says the new series will focus on a teenage girl avatar named Korra. Brown describes her as hotheaded, independent and "ready to take on the world."

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" has ranked among the highest-rate series on the Nickelodeon and Nicktoons channels.

If you looked on the Pokemon black one I have commented on it saying I love it but I also like The Last Air bender. But I only have one question, is this the movie or another cartoon? I really hope that it is the movie so if it is I will totally freak out.

It's Sokka, not saga. And it's Aang, not ang, but I understood it. I think I saw it on google too. I think it said it's due Jul 21, 2011. So a few months away! I got an airbender yo-yo ball for christmas. I can't wait either. It's one of the best shows EVER!! I have every episode of every season at my dad's house on his movie hardrive, so any episode I wanna watch I watch it.

I can't wait for the legend of korrah! I'm basically obsessed with avatar: the last airbender. I have a collection of avatar stuff. I saw the movie, and it's really good. I heard the legend of korrah will have flash backs. I can't wait to see zuko again :)

I am So excited they are making a sequel. I hope it's better than Knight's. His was not so great. He completely messed up the story.

Why will Angg fall for the girl that is going to be mean to him in the middle of the chapters that is super sweet.
