10 billionth iTune sold. How many did you buy? Apple's iTunes has sold its 10 billionth tune.

Apple said Thursday that its online music store crossed the threshold Wednesday when 71-year-old Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Ga., bought "Guess Things Happen That Way" by Johnny Cash.

iTunes had promoted the 10 billion mark and celebrated the milestone by giving Sulcer a $10,000 iTunes gift card.

Introduced in 2003, iTunes became the top overall music retailer in the U.S. in 2008.

Wow 10 million iTunes sold that is a lot and iTunes is very popular. It is the #1 music library. For my opinion it is a lot to sell. iTunes had promoted the 10 billion mark and celebrated the milestone by giving Slicer a $10,000 iTunes gift card.

sweet but limewire shouldnt be banned it was better without paying. but o well. music shouldnt have 2 be payed 4. y would some1 send 100$ on music just so they can have it on there iPod or mp3 player.

OMG that is a lot of money If i had a 10,000 dollar gift card i would invite all my friends and fill all of our Ipods with music croos that my friends,family,and probbaly some of my teachers. I only have 106 songs on my ipod but with that many i wouln't even have to download for music on the internet just whip out your gift crd and start buying.

Wow, that's pretty cool that a 71 year old bought the ten billionth song, that shows how the world has changed in the past. I have about 145 songs on my Ipod now and that would be pretty cool if I could have a $10,000 Itunes gift card I would have a lot of songs. That's cool that that many songs can be bought in a little over seven years.

That is so cool that they sold their 10 billionth song.They gave the money to Louie Sulcer.They gave him $10,000 just because he was the one person to buy it.He is so lucky and rich,for some one that is 71 years old.I wish i was the one that got the 10 million song and the money.
